RMweb Gold Sentinel Posted May 23, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 23, 2013 The Olney Railway Club have recently commenced construction of a OO Layout depicting Olney Station and environs, which was located roughly half-way on the Bedford - Northampton Railway. Although our extensive research has proved to be very fruitfull, we are still seeking further information in terms of photographs, details of freight workings and special trains etc. and would welcome any information that RM Members may have. Any information received will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance. Regards. Malcolm.
LooseHead
What period is the model, Malcolm? It might help to focus minds and prompt replies to know whether you're interested in BR, Grouping or Pre-Grouping. I'm in the early stages of planning a model of the Wolverton-Newport Pagnell railway, with the proposed (but abandoned) extension to Olney incorporated, so I may be researching similar material, but I'm focussed initially on the early days (LNWR/MR) with the possibility of 'updating' to LMS later. RMweb Premium Blandford1969 Posted August 5, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 5, 2013 Are there specific shots you are looking for. Some are very common views and others less so. I assume you have seen the ones on Flickr, by the way?
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted August 5, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 5, 2013 Am I the only one slightly confused by the thread title? Should Banbury read Bedford?
