I saw what appeared to be a good basic airbrush deal in Modelzone last week, everything you need for under £100 quid, now I wonder i I can justify the purchase?

Hi

If you follow the link below, this also has everything I need, and it is fairly cheap so.....

http://www.amazon.co.uk/KMS-Airbrush-Compressor-Double-Airbrushes/dp/B0054Q384A/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1370977877&sr=8-3&keywords=airbrush

Thanks. Also, railmatch paints will be used

........a very good effect with little effort.  But hell of a lot of practice !

it is fairly cheap so..... you will get what you pay for remember. The airbrushes in this deal are probably worth less than a tenner each and might be fine but I doubt spares are easily available.

Something like this

https://airbrushes.com/product_info.php?products_id=21056&osCsid=1834184acc8e72f9ee88dd875c59bbe3

is worth considering if you can run to it, a well known make and easily available spares.

For a serious investment try

Just a few ideas from someone who's been there.

Stu

My airbrush has arrived. Just waiting for the paint. I will begin to airbrush on Monday/ Tuesday

Thanks

Proceed with caution! It looks great value but a compressor and airbrush at that price must be c**p!

N, or even OO locos will need a Badger, Iwata or similar to do a decent job. Have a look at the Airbrush Centre website.

to be honest, I think I will stick with brushes for the moment as they can produce okay results if you take your time. I agree with Crepello I always buy the best quality tools I can and when it comes to Air Brushes I believe the saying "to get quality you have to pay"
