Event Hosted by SK Area group NGS

Venue: Poynton Civic Centre, Park Lane, Poynton SK12 1RB

Poynton is south of Manchester and lies on the A523 with good links to the A6 / M6 and M60. Members should avoid using the A6 between Manchester and Hazel Grove which is often congested. The village is best approached from the North via M60/A34 onto the ‘Manchester airport east link road’ then take the A5102 and A5149 to Poynton. Members approaching from the South might use the M6 J17 approaching Poynton via Congleton A534 and Macclesfield A523, or the A52 from Derby to Macclesfield.

The venue is off Park Lane (the main shopping street in the village) and located in the civic car park which is behind ‘Waitrose’ where ample free parking is located. Signs from the two mini roundabouts in the village opposite the church will direct you to the venue. Please note that Poynton is a ‘shared space village’, where road users have equal rights of way and must give way at pedestrian walkways.

The nearest railway stations are Poynton around 1 mile from the venue and Hazel Grove which is 3 miles away. The P1 bus connects with both stations and stops on Park Lane outside Waitrose 100yards from the venue.

Entry to non members= £3.00 / conc £2.00

Non members will be refunded upon joining the Society at the show

There will be light refreshments and hot and cold beverages for sale at the venue. Adjacent Poynton village contains many cafes, coffee shops and bars etc where sandwiches or hot meals may be bought.

Doors open 10am and close at 4.30pm

AGM starts at 1.30pm (for members only and current membership cards will be required to access the AGM, competition and society shops)
