First of all,hi guys, have modelled in oo gauge for a few years now and got the urge to do o gauge.i had the garage sorted out ie,insulated roof, and elec doors..

The boards are in 4 sections with a length of 22 ft plus room for a small fiddle yard.

I'll post a few pics first and give more details as I go on.

Hi,

Looks good.  What about motive power?

Can I suggest the stone fence behind the station in the last photo needs a bit of filling between the joins.

I have a plan for initial O gauge layout of 12'x2' with a 3 line turntable at one end.  Have some track and 2 wagons, need a couple of points and some more stock.

Just a few of my locos on layout, tend to keep most in display case in house with rolling stock.

The manor class loco,Bradley manor is a spring side kit made by a guild ex winner as is also the prairie .

The pannier is a tower models, all have sound fitted either south west or howes.

The buildings are a mix of Skytrex,Invertrains and scratch built.

Still a very long way to go but you get the idea.

Thanks for adding rolling stock.  Brings layout to life.  Really like this.  Though I prefer apple green engines.  You have done an excellent job.  I would suggest getting one of the mags around, would go well in one of them or all of them.  Chris Nevard, ANdy York or Tony Wright would bring the best out of the layout with their excellent photography.

I have a friend who is building a 45' x 20' O gauge layout.  Has built baseboards and laid track.  I will find a photo and post it some time.

Thanks for sharing your work.

Thanks for the positive feedback, started this layout last summer, was of work after an operation so built boards to give me something to do.had garage insulated so can use and work on through winter.

Built the station and engine shed from Invertrains kits.signal boxes are Skytrex ones.viaduct is scratch built as are platforms.

The layout is dcc and I use an nce power cab with booster.

Points have micro switches built in for polarity chance and also a twin micro switch on the crossover connected to a point ease of use.

Still not to sure about point motors or wire in tube.

Used cobalt motors on last layout with marcway points.

Good stuff, sir. BUT please, please, please, save my poor old neck - rotate your pictures so that they are upright before you post 'em!

What this layout really needs is working signals. Even ground discs are not that difficult in 7mm.

Sorry about pics wrong way, will make sure next time they are the right way.

Yeah signals are needed, don't know what sort yet ie,ratio or wait till dapols new ones Come out.

But to be honest signals are not my strong point, don't what goes where,ie distant, home or ground, can't seem to get my head round them.

I'm not an expert on GWR signalling but I'm sure there are RMwebbers who are. Suggest you post a track plan and ask for advice on where to put 'em. One of the problems you will have is that you will certainly need some ground dollies....
