RMweb Premium Crepello Posted July 20, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 20, 2013 Just seen 'Model Railway Express' 19 July--''a significant new model announcement will be made at the Bachmann Members' Club Open Day at the Bluebell Railway on 31 August''. Nothing to suggest which gauge but bound to be of interest to N-gaugers eventually.
RMweb Premium Colin Posted July 21, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 21, 2013 H class perhaps? Now that WOULD be nice.
RMweb Premium Crepello Posted July 22, 2013 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted July 22, 2013 H class perhaps? Now that WOULD be nice. Totally agree Colin; strange that this quite numerous class (54) has been overlooked so far. An 'Arthur' (65 of them) would be nice too! John. RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted July 22, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 22, 2013 Perhaps the venue is a clue (for an N gauge SECR C maybe, or a Southern mogul)?
ThaneofFife
a 6 car TPU dmu certainly would fall into the significant category......... they wouldnt venture into TT gauge would they?
Stevelewis
a 6 car TPU dmu certainly would fall into the significant category......... they wouldnt venture into TT gauge would they? I doubt they would want to invest in another scale and TT can't really be classed as a volume sales producer.
DaveArkley
Given the announcement by Dapol, is the new model ex-Dapol Dave in a nice frock?
Dorsetmike
They do have an SR mogul somewhere in the pipeline, Hattons and Rails have had it on pre order for some time. If it's something else then yes an N gauge Arthur is long long overdue, or any SR 4-6-0 come to that, Nelson, S15, H15,N15X even a T14. Dapol have the Schools announced, although no mention of Maunsell green, only Mala*hite or BR. Some proper Grouping coaching stock would also be welcome. Dapol mentioned Maunsells when they started producing N gauge, we're still waiting!

WindyHale76
It might just be an extension of the range of models in the scenecraft range? Perhaps an expansion into n gauge for their Bluebell range. If you look at the location where this is taking place and the rolling stock located at the Bluebell and the gaps in the market. It could be a Maunsell Q class ( only available in kit form) or a Wainwright H class ( OO works already manufactured this model) or the Adams Radial tank ( OO works again ). The one I would most surprised with would be a Maunsell U class but this will never happen. Another new model is better than no new models.
