Pugsley
I'm struggling to find any pictures of the cab lights in a class 37 - does anyone have any pictures showing the style and location of these please? I've trawled fotopic and flickr (including Brian Daniels' excellent site) but not turned up anything so far. I'm also after a photo that shows the inside of the fire pull on the refurb machines and a decent picture of the electric shock treatment poster that I can print out and put in the cab. TIA. RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted January 9, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 9, 2010 I think I have a photo which shows the light, but annoyingly the forum is refusing to upload it..... its not a perfct shot (just happened to come into the top corner when taking a photo of come details on the bulkhead. Have a bunch of other detail shots inside and outside of 37254 if theres anything else you need. One interesting detail (which I have no idea how common it was on other 37s) was that it had a BR logo etched onto the lens on the high intensity headlight. Might be possible to add in7mm scale... edit, seems it was the bit that is used to add the photo into the text thats broke not the upload! as clearly the photo did upload and is below

Pugsley
Gary - Thanks, that's very kind of you. Some cab roof shots from both ends would be brilliant! Bob - Great idea - why didn't I think of that! I had a look and there is one that shows at least one of the cab lights - they're very similar to the 50, in fact. Thanks for the suggestion. Thanks Rich - more useful details there B) I've seen the BR arrow on the headlight lenses before - I think it was fairly common. I think I'm OK for everything else at the moment, but if I get stuck at any point I 'll give you a shout.

Pugsley
Gary, yes they do look to be the same type as that - thanks. All I need to do now is work out how many there are (I think 2 at each end) and where they're mounted (oh, and how I'm going to model them )

James Hilton
I didn't know whether to start a new topic for these or not but I've taken a selection of shots of 37075 at the Churnett Valley Railway today, and since your thread title is only 'Class 37 Details' thought it might help people searching in future if I put these here, so sorry Martin if they're a little off topic. Hopefully useful though? I'm planning on scratchbuilding a lot of this in 4mm... http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php/blog/10/entry-2436-class-37-chassis-detailing/ Hope they are of some use! 37114
Just a quick one but where are sandite fittings on a 37 and has anyone got any pics? If you are referring to one of the 37's converted for sandite application, then googling your chosen machine should help, there are 2 valves which were at the number 2 end mid way up the bodyside in the location of the old boiler department, next to the grille under the engine room window: http://www.flickr.com/photos/16645820@N06/8205992692/
