28XX
I've just started collecting items for Stourhampton. I visited them yesterday and found just what I was looking for, an old fashioned model shop with enthusiastic staff. I would have stayed longer if I had had more time. I expect to be going back regularly.
Stevelewis
Tennents is an long established model shop, many years ago it was part of a Pharmacy! and when I did a proper job as an account manager for Smithkline Beecham Now Glaxo-Smithkline, my colleagues in the Midlands often used to speak of the fascinating calls they made on Tennants! I have dealt with Tenants over the years by Mail order and have always found John Tennant to be most courteous and helpful, if any one is in the area its well worth a visit! bike2steam
I visited that shop a few times in the late 80's/ early 90's when I used to taxi my niece to the Peto Institute in Kings Heath, from my mum's place in Wednesfield, a very interesting place . DavidR
I bought my Bachmann 'City of London' by telephone order from them: the price was 'box shifter' level, but the P&P charges were significantly below the 'box shifters' rates. A highly commendable shop.
