87023Velocity Posted March 26, 2017 Author Share Posted March 26, 2017 Made a start today on the Dapol 156 and a Bachmann class 08. The 156 has received a coat of Halfords white primer followed by a coat of Railmatch 244 Silver grey. The Bachmann 08 is going to become Haymarkets black 08730. Following a coat of Halfords Grey primer, rail red was airbrushed on and then masked to form the cantrail, next a coat of gloss black applied. 87023Velocity Posted March 29, 2017 Author Share Posted March 29, 2017 With the blue paint dry on the 156, I had a try at spraying the green stripe. After applying plenty of Tamiya masking tape, the stripe was sprayed. Here is the progress so far. 87023Velocity Posted March 31, 2017 Author Share Posted March 31, 2017 Been a busy evening stripping bodyshells ready for detailing and respraying. All done using Phoenix Superstrip. Locos for Strathmuir are going to be as follows left to right: 37153 Large Logo, 37413 Large Logo, 47597 Large Logo and 20148 BR blue. Just need to order all the roof fans for these.
