Tase
I am looking to model the SGT2. I know that 977985 and 977986 are part of the train but what other coaches, if any, make up the full set? Thanks in advance!
RMweb Premium newbryford Posted September 26, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 26, 2013 Hi Tase, SGT2 977985/977986 has recently been running around with UTU1 62384 and a RTOV. The RTOV can vary, but if a non-genny fitted RTOV (9702 or 9703) is used, then a generator van is required, I noted it with 6264/9702 in April. And in a twist of fate, 9708 has also recently been with SGT2/UTU1 - 9708 replaced 977985 in the SGT formation in 2009. http://www.flickr.com/photos/50556051@N08/9304287756/in/photolist-fbbUAq-9GK7tp http://www.flickr.com/photos/61693261@N03/8727563648/in/photolist-eie3Bj-bLyMTp-aNVoZM-b5mtH8-eud81y-exCVsP-fgpraY-eRCy5Y-ea5DS4-eie3Tf-9TNCyj-boft4M-88FXzd-aiLSnK-aBp6Rf-9Fa4K7-aZcD8p-9GMZ8A-aZcDiH-aSiyhR-aNVo8X-aK5GXr-aNVpbT-aNVoya-faWgK6-fbbxCd-fbbxs3-fbbxfQ-fbbUAq-9GK7tp The sightings logs at departmentals.com is a useful reference. Type in 977985 and then search the dates and it'll list other vehicles in the same place/time. SGT 1 is down south (Folkestone) soon! Tase
Thanks for the comprehensive answer Mick, that's really helpful - I knew you'd come up trumps! I'll have a look at Departmentals.com. Hoping to get to Folkstone next month to see Blackmill. Thanks again mate!

Swifty11
Hi Tase, In regard to the DBSO I'd say model 9703 as 9702 works the ultrasonic test train quite a bit. Hope that may help with deciding on which one to do. Tom
