Following on from the plasterwork, these shots show the results for the warehouse area once it had received a coat of Precision 'weathered concrete'.

Further down are the groundworks in place to receive a small road tanker oil distribution point and a pair of oil storage tanks.

Cheers

Not sure how I missed this so far but it looks absolutely great.

That hard-standing is very impressive. Looking around at techniques for this type of thing myself and you've given me something to think about there.

I've always used pink Thistle plaster. It goes off quite quick so only do a small area, say 6 x 6" at a time. Don't have it too wet or it will crack when drying.

Best of luck.

Though I would post a few shots of some of the detail we are now adding to the layout.

The 'concrete' buffer stop is copied from carriage shed at Victoria. (London).

The oil unloading pipework was built for us by no other than Dave Larkin. (of wagons fame).

Cheers

So.

We come to the last of the current crop of photos of the layout.

We have a full operating session on 16th November, when I will take some more along the whole length with all the latest updates.

Good work,

Makes my peco track look a bit gash

Thanks for your comment Rob.

Thing is, it takes ages to build.

In '00', I felt for a long time that most things had come a long way except the track. I really wanted to bring '00' track up to scratch (as much as '00' track can be) , so went down the road of using scale components as much as I could, including the 16.2mm gauge (00SF).

Hi again Guys.

As promised in an earlier post, I said I would round this subject off with a series of 'finished' views of Falcon Road.

Well, it's getting there so here is a collection of shots taken as a 'walk along' the layout from one end to the other.

Cheers for now.
