Hi

here are some images of some of the whitemetal loco kits that i have produced using RTR chassis

This langley N2 is the first ever loco kit that i built, and uses a shortened Farish large prairie chassis with a modified pony to take the larger wheels. as this was my first kit i didnt have spray equipment and handpainted it, it dosnt look too bad in the flesh, but looks very rough in the picture.

This is a GEM kit of a J39, this one has been spray painted, but the weathering was my first attempt, and i need to go back and have another go at making a bit more subtle and smooth along the lines of some images i have posted in the painting and weathering section. the chassis is an old Farish pannier and could do with replacing with a more modern one.

This is another GEM kit, this time a B12 on a Farish castle chassis, with the front pony modified to take the larger pony wheels left over from the N2 build. this is another one that i would like to go back and enhance the weathering on a bit more.

Also a GEM kit, this Y6 tram loco is still work in progress, and needs a bit more tidying up and a final varnish, i am also trying to source a different chassis to the old lima motor bogie that currently powers it that will fit, as i am not happy with its running quality.

and finally one of my favourate items in my collection a GEM Fleetline kit of the midland Garratt loco. this uses two farish black five chassis and is very heavy, and very powerful, it is a shame i have never been able to get the cylinders to fit correctly on the chassis that had to have the motion reversed during construction (a very fiddly job).

Regards

David
