Dawg
I've been searching for a great DVD compendium of Stanier's pacific locos at work on BR metals during the 1950's until withdrawal in September '64 - particularly north of Crewe Can anyone recommend anything? - YouTube just has uploads of recent preserved locos - nothing from back in the day.... Thanks.
PenrithBeacon
The B&R series of DVDs has a fair bit of footage, but it's spread over a good many DVDs. Regards
LMS2968
I have two: "Stanier Pacifics - The Princess Royals & Coronations" by Transport Video Publishing; and "The Coronation Pacifics" by Heritage Media. I wasn't happy with the second one: you're six and a half minutes into it before you even see a Stanier pacific, and there are too many sequences of preserved engines intertwined with the history section. It does though have some colour shots of the streamlined engines in motion.
