PenrithBeacon
The 'News' section on the railway's website has been updated for ages, does anybody have any info on progress? Regards
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted November 16, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 16, 2013 This unofficial site about WHR matters includes regular news about goings-on at Porthmadog, if that's what you mean. I think there's a lot of work going on just now, with trains starting at Minffordd. Click on the "latest news" link to go there. http://www.isengard.co.uk/#News

John_Hughes
Yes, there's a blockade at Harbour Station until the Santa trains start in December; current work includes a great deal of resignalling and completing the wave wall, the new island platform and the WHR run-round to enable both lines to work into the station independently. Platform occupancy wasn't a real problem in the days of the 'old' WHR as a number of trains ran 'through' and Harbour was (officially!) closed to passenger traffic for much of that period, though interestingly some through trains were still shown in the timetable as stopping there!
