hornbyandbf3fan
Just some photos I took today of the storm damage at Seaton, down here in Cornwall. The waves must have been powerful as a lot of the tarmac is ripped up and walls have collapsed It isn't all bad though!
RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted February 18, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 18, 2014 Will I would have ticked 'like' but that is not appropriate. However, many of your shots are really artistic mate. P @ 36E

johnd
I sea (intentional) there is another Seaton in the Duchy, but to most people the Seaton that comes to mind is the one that is the home to Peco, there is also a post about the Seaton (Devon) tramway and it's washout with the floods. RMweb Premium Gwiwer Posted February 19, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 19, 2014 There are two Seatons. At least two in fact. Images here relate to Seaton in Cornwall near Looe. There is a separate topic relating to Seaton in Devon and the damage to the Seaton Tramway there. Seaton (Cornwall) had already suffered damage to sea defences and river banks causing a minor dicversion of the South West Coast Path long before the recent bad weather. This has significantly worsened the damage.
steveb860
Last week I was camping between Seaton and Looe, and walked the dog on that beach. Engineers had started work on repairs. It was certainly a mess, and the beach café visible in photo two was severely damaged. Beach debris was all over the roads, and a lot of trees down in the area. Smugglers Inn is very friendly, and they allow dogs in too. Hope they all recover soonest.
hornbyandbf3fan
There was a digger further down the road and funnily enough I had lunch at the Smugglers Inn
