The WR and SR allocated locomotives would have been more likely to have retained their ladders after the change to Rail Blue livery because of the lack of overhead equipment. Those of the ScR, LMR and ER would have their ladders removed quite early on for safety reasons as these regions had OLE. The same with Black and Green liveried locos, the SR and WR retained their ladders longer than those of the LMR, ScR and ER. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
