C.A.T.Ford
East Grinstead show at Sackville school this weekend. Normally a good show with lots of bargains from Martells. I'm sorting Batcombe now to go there tomorrow. I may go early and visit the Bluebelle before setting up. CAT
cromptonnut
Noticed their website still refers to "next years show" and has a small list of layouts and traders. Does anyone have a more comprehensive list of what is going to be there?

cromptonnut
Is it? The use of the phrase "next year's show" would tend to imply that this could well be some months out of date.

cromptonnut
Hence my wonder of what is actually going to be there. I understand it's a "general" show but as an O gauge modeller, and with only one 7mm layout (and that's narrow gauge) it doesn't quite give me enough "content" to make it a worthwhile day out for me. In this day and age a website is a low-cost and essential (plus there's lots of free options like RMWeb) to advertise the show, and possibly even worse than no website is an out-of-date one. cromptonnut
There are some nice layouts there, depending on your particular interests you will probably find something to enjoy. Me, I got inspiration from an interesting N gauge layout (I'm currently modelling in O gauge...) which has outline approval from the domestic authorities subject to formal planning application being submitted once I know how much space I can get away with using need. Just one note, and that's there is no signage on the main road apart from the school sign itself - apparently someone has mislaid it. So just keep an eye out for the school. ShuntShed
Here is a video of the event for people who are thinking of going tomorrow. This was a very good event with all 14 layouts on show.
