Thanks to my bank throwing a l-o-n-g interest free credit card my way I'm thinking of upgrading the D80 to a D7100. They seem to get good reviews, I was just wondering if any on here had any up close and personal experience with them.

D7100 is by all accounts a fine camera, but lacks buffering for long sequences. Have you seen this review? http://www.dslrbodies.com/cameras/current-nikon-dslr-reviews/nikon-d7100-review.html

I remain convinced the small buffer is to keep the D300s interesting to sports-minded snappers. The D400 is still a fond fantasy in many minds.

Thanks for the replies - I was going to go for the D7000, but Nikon's current £100 cashback offer makes the difference in price just £150. I only want the body as I have reasonable glass including the mighty F/2.8 80-200 Nikkor AF-S ED.

Um, decisions....
