Ressaldar
Hi Rob, I too have the wall style Gaugemaster transformer to power my Cobalts and again like you, think that the PCB would have been better for some fixing holes/bracketry allowing it to be fixed to the side of a control panel/box adjacent to a hole for the jack on the cable to fit through audio style and turn the output terminals to face in the opposite direction for the feeds to chocolate blocks and switches - a far tidier affair than I have at present! cheers Mike
ThePurplePrimer
Hi Mike This is what I have just made based on your description - I don't really need it at opposite ends but it does mean you can unplug it without the risk of pulling the wires to the motors out. I used some 1mm copper wire which I bent into a kind of U shape ( could use thicker ) - a chock block ( smaller would have been nicer ) - some 2mm plasticard, some styrene tube. Bend it it , cut it, glue it - tadaa ! Mine has 1mm packing under the tubes and a 2mm packer above the tubes to support the board nicely so it's not hanging on the copper wires. 2 x 3mm holes for screws at one end and a hole under the one in the chockblock so that screw can hold the mount down and the choc block in place all at the same time
Ressaldar
Hi Rob, very neat solution, I could well be making one for my set-up, many thanks for the photos, a great help. cheers Mike
CourthsVeil
I would give it a THICK blob of hot gun glue (instead of double sided tape). Regards Armin
bigdaveadams1
Loving your solution TPP! It is a bit of a shame there are no mounting holes. I wondered if you could use a pair of sticky foam tabs?
