Snap!

Actually I bought mine repainted in BR blue - years ago for about a tenner - but I modded the ends to make it look more like a Class 101 and picked out the window frames in silver.  I still have some bits to finish off but it knows its place in the queue:

The Lickey route was full of 3 car DMUs, never saw a single car or twin power.

Lima DMUs are cheap but require a LOT of work.

In the early 90s  There was a Barnt Green to Worcester Schools service formed of a 121 single car unit. On one occasion due to a driver oversight came down the bank with all vaccuum  and sailed through Bromsgrove to the great amusement of kids on board and greater for the Bromsgrove group - no school that day. Driver story lead to unit being sandwiched between two 3 cars for return to TS for attention.

The service was later expanded to feed Bromsgrove inro the cross city service  and eventually led into he new station and OLE down the bank as a cheapo(ish) extension.

Looks like I'm going to need to get 6 Brake seconds and modify them into TSOs. I've checked the underframe and they're the same  moulding on brake and non brake vehicles. Might need some milliput as well.

I am getting bargains on ebay.

2 BSO makes a 2e TSO and with 2 FO you get 2 BFK as well.

Now painted first coat of rail grey on 4 of these and sprayed 5 underframes in Track Brown, this dulls the Airfix gloss plasic and merges in the resin 2F fans.

They photo the same

Top of masking on 2nd ridge down above doors, ends first 15mm long strips with cut of corners.

10mm strip of paper between then and held at doors,  then two strips the length.

About 45m per carriage.
