paulprice
Maybe its just the result of yet another head injury suffered as I forgot to duck when going through the kitchen doorway, but are some of the 00 gauge models available truly awesome? Yes I blame the Staff at the Widnes Model Centre

cornish trains jez
Coming along nicely Paul. Haven't looked in for a while but I've caught up now. I agree with the comment above, some signals would be great as they always add an extra dosage of atmosphere to a layout. Best regards, Jeremy

paulprice
Is it me or does this happen to other modellers too?? I have a priority list of jobs to do, I get the materials I need to do the job, I actually start the job, but actually end up doing something completely different? paulprice
Tell me about it today I started working on some signals, then before I knew it I found myself working on my Fowler 2-6-4T though I think it needs a little more work lowering the body on the chassis. paulprice
Well it seems ages since I put an entry on this blog, and yes I am still alive and yes I have been doing some modelling........well if you can call it that Is it just me or does adding detail to your layout take an absolute age and then when you take a step back, you think to yourself should I have bothered?? paulprice
I think today I may buy some off the Humbrol "Smoke Powder" to try and dirty up Foster street a little more and make it look more "northern". The question is having never used this stuff, will it adhere to card and what do I use to fix it?? more of my trusty hairspray?
paulprice
Well I have applied some wreathing powder to the goods warehouse on Foster Street, and I'm not sure if I have overdone it?
Black Sheep
The variation you've achieved looks better than the flat tones of the brick sheets from earlier. I'd guess it's small touches to be focused on to slowly build up the effect, kind of like nature sped up
paulprice
Black sheep, I suppose your right, I think this is why I have always used plasticard for my buildings, until I decided to use card for foster Street
