Maybe its just the result of yet another head injury suffered as I forgot to duck when going through the kitchen doorway, but are some of the 00 gauge models available truly awesome?

Yes I blame the Staff at the Widnes Model Centre

well I got bored with fences and signals, so spent a little time detailing some of the latest additions to my fleet, like most things the hardest part is getting started. Then once you start it all UP HILL from there, WHAT HAVE I DONE..........

The problem is with this type of job is it just highlights either what you know you haven't got, or things you know you have you just cant find them......at the moment this list includes

Number transfers (I still have not decided what numbers to put on the black 5's)

Head lamps

My nice blue paint for my engine crew

My engine crew figures

Scale wheels for the front bogies

My sanity

Don't advertise that you still have your sanity too much around here - Boris will be along shortly to steal it from you!

Well it seems ages since I put an entry on this blog, and yes I am still alive and yes I have been doing some modelling........well if you can call it that :)

Is it just me or does adding detail to your layout take an absolute age and then when you take a step back, you think to yourself should I have bothered??

I think today I may buy some off the Humbrol "Smoke Powder" to try and dirty up Foster street a little more and make it look more "northern". The question is having never used this stuff, will it adhere to card and what do I use to fix it?? more of my trusty hairspray?
