Changing Reporting Numbers

I have recently obtained a second-hand Bachmann Class 37 that had a new reporting number added to the outside of the factory fitted glazing material. The original reporting number on one end is damaged.

I'm looking to both fit minimum lighting behind the numbers and to replace the missing reporting number.

Does anyone have any hints on where to find the correct font and suggestions for a material on which to print (or otherwise produce) the replacement characters/numbers? Does anyone market replacements in 4mm?

Thanks.

Precision Labels do them both as "make your own" where you select the desired characters and fit them to the headcode frame, http://www.precisionlabels.com/l41.html or as "fixed" displays http://www.precisionlabels.com/l51.html although they don't list the Bachmann 37 so it'll be a case of measuring the 37 against other models in your fleet to see which is the best match with the classes Precision cover.

I've done a couple of split box 37s removing the Domino dots and replacing with reporting numbers. I carefully removed the black paint from each clear panel with T-cut, and placed 4,0mm precision labels behind. The splitters have a headcode frame which can be prised off easily. The correct size and font of precision labels makes a big difference, it seems that many RTR diesels with reporting codes are the wrong size (except those supplied with older HJ Westerns, Hymeks and 47s), which is to their detriment. Although Bachmann peaks and 47s look OK.
