With less than two weeks to go it's about time I started a topic on this.
Here is some blurb from our secretary:

The Greenwich and District Narrow Gauge Railway Society is pleased to announce that it will be holding its annual Expo Narrow Gauge® on Saturday 25th October 2014 at the White Oak Leisure Centre, Hilda May Avenue, Swanley, Kent BR8 7BT.

As this year is 2014, we are celebrating O14 modelling with a small group of some of the best layouts built on 14mm gauge track. John Clutterbuck’s version of the Pentewan Light Railway is making its one and only exhibition appearance as an operating layout, whilst David Malton’s Abbey Light Railway is making its first exhibition appearance. David John’s ‘Rhyd’ is making a rare visit to the deep south from the far north and Simon Hargraves’s classic ‘South Bierley’ sewage works attends its first exhibition in many years.

Richard Glover’s 009 layout ‘Pagham Harbour’ will be making its final exhibition appearance after more than 20 years. Come and see if the tide finally comes in!

The White Oaks Leisure Centre is to the north of Swanley Town Centre, a short 10 minute walk from the railway station (rear exit into Everest Place), served by trains from Victoria. There are good connections from the M25 (junction 3) and the A20, and its close proximity to the Channel Tunnel terminals at Folkestone, Ebbsfleet and Ashford make it an easy day trip from the Continent. Routes will be signposted from the station and M25.

The tables and chairs are mostly sorted. Some big and impressive layouts are already set-up and ready to go. Hopefully everyone will be ready for the 10am start on Saturday. We just hope there are no incidents on the M25 or the rail network to spoil things for our visitors.
