RMweb Premium ELTEL Posted February 4, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 4, 2015 Looking good. If I had not sold it to Nick at our Stafford 2014 Exhibition I had considered to have a second go at extending the layout at some stage in the future. Mozzer is doing a great job and I look forward to seeing it again when it's exhibited. You never know it may appear at a second Stafford exhibition, this time as a layout. Gordon A
I like the back scene, but the new building covering the switches looks odd because it does not flow into the back scene. I suggest you need a cover structure that is wholly contained on the layout board. Gordon A Bristol
RMweb Premium ELTEL Posted February 4, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 4, 2015 Is that a Invite Not at this stage, as I am no longer the exhibition manager for Stafford 20+ Years was enough I will however pass on the layout details, so expect a visit at a exhibition near you by Colin Hill. mozzer models
Today the Railway has taken delivery of a WW1 Dick Kerr Lord Kimmage is having it sent off to Hunslet for a refit 100_7919 by Mozzer models, on Flickr I have also been writing a brief history of the railway Let me know what you think of it Botham Hall Botham is the last station on a Narrow Gauge rail in the Pennines hills on the Yorkshire side Built to take farm products down to the standard gauge railway from the Botham Hall farm estate started by the current Lord Kimmage father in 1893 . At 1st the railway ran with just 2 0-6-0 loco supplied by Hunslet of Leeds the railway still uses one of these loco today. The railway need more locos by 1914 but nothing was available till after WW1 & as the then lords Son had just return from France & been a officer with in the WDLR & like the look of there locos He got his father to buy some of the Surplus rolling stock . The railway prospered with the extra locos & stock At the start there was no passenger trains but as the line grew lord noticed that the locals walked the line down to the main line (as a Yorkshire man know he could make some money) so from 1916 started running a passenger train along his line so using coaches built on some old bogie & 4 wheel wagon chassis, 1964 the Son now the new lord purchased from Europe some extra 4 wheel coaches from the same sorce as the WLLR did in 1968
