CraigZ
By my reckoning there's 42,000 total hp on this train, all EMD and sounding glorious. All SDs in blocks of 45-2T/40/40-2T---40-2T/40-2T/45-2T/45-2T/40-2T/45---40/40/40-2T/45-2T . Really gets the howl of the EMD two strokes on this train. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBJlXVvtdn4

edcayton
Impressive. I thought they still had cabooses (cabeese?). Ed
Dr Gerbil-Fritters
Not by 1990. I'm not sure of the cessation date, but it would be to do with the change of crewing regulations in the late 80s. At this point, at least the helpers are still manned. Caboose use just overlapped the early years of the double stacks which makes for an interesting sight.
