Hi Bryn, Glad to help. Re-reading my reply I realise my description of the RMC digital access wasn't very clear. It's through RailroadModelCraftsman.com and when you subscribe they give you password access. The White River Productions App which I use on my iPad does the same job, so you can access on either platform. The magazine can be downloaded on the iPad for offline reading which I found useful when on holiday with no internet access. I subscribed when Stephen Priest was editor and really liked the content. When he moved on I felt that it wasn't as good under Otto Vondrak at first but it has steadily improved and I wouldn't miss it now. I also subscribe to the Model Railroad Hobbyist online mag. The mag is free but I I pay for the Running Extra content, they have special offers on all the time so I signed up when it was fairly cheap. The MRH forum is good too. e.g. the superb Tom Johnsons Cass County model railroad which featured in the October 22 RMC can be found on the MRH forum in much greater depth, with lots of useful photos. Hi, I subscribe to the full package through Trains.com and find it fairly user friendly. You have to access the magazines through the archive menu for each magazine but not only do you get the current issue you can access all the back issues too. going back years! sometimes the magazines when loading have occasional glitches, loading the pages upside down or not at all, but if i go back later its fine. There is a lot of video content some of which is only available to members. The package doesn't give access to the special editions so I use Zinio for those. I subscribe to RMC too and it is a more serious modeller content I find. Again you have access to back issues back to 2012. They have their own digital platform. Hope that helps. Terry

Huge thanks to Matt (TentValleyRailway) for his video. Domestic reasons meant I couldn't make the trip south to the show but a great video of the show made up for it. ( A bit!) The standard of the layouts looked to be very high so I definitely missed out. Plans are afoot for next year when hopefully I will be in a position to be able to travel. Terry

Ordered an Oxford Rail J27 sound fitted this week. It was at a great price and arrived in the far north very well packed and worked straight from the box. There was a note from Saul to say it had been tested prior to despatch. If you read some of the comments on the Oxford rails J27 thread then you would know why I was relieved! 2 of my favourite books are the 2 volumes of C.C. Greens 'Coast Lines of the Cambrian Railways' and this layout captures the atmosphere of the books so well. Absolutely loved the video, thank you for taking the time to do it. Terry

Many moons ago on an earlier version of RMWeb (no longer available) I started a thread on an embryo North Las Vegas switching layout. As others have said, other interests (BR EM gauge) domestic circumstances and a house move to the Northern isles have put the project on hold. Part of the layout is now up and running (no scenery yet) in our outbuilding but no heating in there has stopped work on it until the spring. A new thread is going to be started when work recommences. It is unfortunate that so many US model shops have gone, Model junction will be a miss as I have used them quite a bit as my layout building has restarted. Buying from the US is easy but the post charges can be astronomical. We have a friend in California who can send me stuff like Plano etches at a reasonable rate. I use ebay quite a bit too. There doesn't seem to be as many US outline layouts on the exhibition circuit at the moment, although my new location means I haven't been to a show for 5 years. Terry
