Rugd1022
Looking at the length of the nameplate, or rather the mess left behind after it was removed I'd say it's D1020 Western Hero. Will need to check the books to be 100% certain but they're all tucked away at the moment!
'CHARD
Funnily enough Nidge, one of this parish has posted these details of a Laira scrapline cabbing visit on the Leighton Logs website. http://www.leightonlogs.org/Cabitmems.htm
Rugd1022
Funnily enough Nidge, one of this parish has posted these details of a Laira scrapline cabbing visit on the Leighton Logs website. http://www.leightonlogs.org/Cabitmems.htm Link duly favouritized for future reference Sir! Just had a skim through and noticed D1003 in that Laira dump road line up, she was my first Thousand recorded for haulage, just before she was withdrawn. Even without dipping into my Hydraulic library (aka 'the naughty cupboard ) I'm certain that John's unknown machine is D1020. D1018 had much longer nameplates and had only recently been fully repainted at Laira, just a few weeks before it was withdrawn. I saw it on a milk train at Plymouth shining like a new pin around that time.
