JSpencer
I have brought a secondhand DCC sound fitted Hornby Black 5. It is very good, fitted light, smoke generator and firebox glow. I know the chip is loksound as I interrogated it with my DCC system. Sound quality is very good and the chip is programmed to switch on and off a shovelling coal sound (which is fortunately less stronger than the chuff sound!), at the same time, the firebox glow switches on and off as the coal is shovelled. A remarkable big of programming. Does anyone know what company provided this?
JSpencer
If it helps, the loco was weathered by Peakdale Works.
RMweb Gold Phil Bullock Posted May 20, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 20, 2015 That's certainly a feature of South West digital's current files http://www.southwestdigital.co.uk/F%20Keys/LMS%20Black%205.png Phil
JSpencer
What amazed me about this model is that it switches on and off certain sounds as it runs, saving us from having to trigger them. I have South West fitted to a Bachmann class 40 which is also astounding. Very clear sounds, very 49 like, clear sharp sound files. This black 5 is almost the same level.
