Penlan
Is this correct, are there no tabs now?It seems a retrograde step to me for easy connections, be it soldering or by tab connectors. All my old'ish PK 's have tabs on the base to solder to. Like the one shown from Radnorailways blogspot... I've just had some new ones (MSE) delivered and there are no tabs, like this one from the MMRS website. OK it shows the wrong side of the base plate, but the fixing looks the same on the other side too.
RMweb Premium Tim Dubya Posted May 27, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 27, 2015 Just opened one of mine bought a couple of months ago from Wizard and yes no tabs! As you say, the much older ones do have them. Seems a bit daft to leave them off, unless this a manufacturing fault / quality control issue? Penlan
Thanks Tim, If a quality issue that must have been spotted by the retailer, surely.Seems a retrograde step to me. I use female tabs to connect to the magnets, in-situ under the baseboards, especially as my supply of anti-gravity solder seems to have disappeared. ... and with a bad back, it's not that easy fiddling about under baseboards.
