An interesting film the Titfield Thunderbolt I was at the Model Engineering Exhibition when it used to be held at the Wembley conference centre must have been 1981 or 1982 and the director gave a talk and presentation about the making of the film. It was made when materials were scarce I seem to remember he said the sequence of the 14XX going through the town was done using a car chassis and wooden mock-up of the loco!
