Interesting pictures Hornbyhall.

Being as you've invited suggestions may I suggest painting the sides of your track with a suitable rust/grime  coloured paint? The shiny silver colour did rather spoil the effect of your ballast.

Regards,

Dave

What about the copyright? be careful. :O

Not 100% sure :scratchhead:  but i think it's okay to copy it as long as your not trying to take credit for it which i'm not as i also copied the "May 15th 1998

© Brian Daniels Built ~ BR Crewe" which shows who it's copyrighted to, but thanks for the heads up  :good:

However if anyone knows different please let me know so i can delete it before i get arrested  :swoon:

Roundy layouts require a lot of space in EM, so for a home garage layout, end to end is the option.  This layout is an interpretation of Bury Bolton  Street Station in 1959.  A four platform station with terminating, stopping and through trains, including some freight.  Using the electrickery at the end of the traversers means that with the aid of a full 4 knob control system and the mimic diagram it is just possible to control 4 simultaneous train movements on my own.  As most of the trains stop at the station there is not the feeling that they really should be going faster.  I hope that explains the enjoyment an end to end can give.  The scenic section is 3 metres long and the two traversers are 1 metre each.  There is more steam, just not yet converted to EM.  Oh and a Class 504 Manchester third rail electric is a work in progress.
