Hello everyone, I'd like to introduce a little side project of mine...

You might have spotted I quite like to doodle my ideas and thoughts before progressing projects - I have shared sketches on here for both locomotive and layout projects over the years. 

 

I'm now excited to share this talent with other modelers and am offering a commission service.

I can provide professionally printed high quality prints on good quality textured or smooth art board for mounting and framing and/or supply a digital file for your own personal use (eg non profit making website or promotional use for your layout). For business use please get in touch to discuss a commission and no obligation quotation.

How it works

You get in touch enquiry@jameshiltondraws.com

We discuss your requirements and agree a scope and price.

(typical price for a digital only single page layout plan, building or locomotive sketch £35, single page multi image sketch from £50, printed at cost)

You pay via Paypal or bank transfer.

I produce your artwork, checking progress with you as we move forwards.

You receive your physical artwork or electronic file.

Prints from stock

I have a few prints in the store - including my first of a limited edition series of narrow gauge locomotives...

These will all be 28x21cm (a touch under A4) and will include examples from Corris, Vale of Rheidol, Lynton and Barnstable, Welsh Highland and Welshpool and Llanfair.

I may follow on with some continental prototypes...

 

This first one is 'Palmerston' of the Festiniog railway. Professionally print on high quality art paper, signed and numbered.

Apart from the obvious artistry involved, y'know what I also like about this thread? It's the title: "James Hilton Draws". It instantly takes me back to that era when you could buy LPs entitled "Trini Lopez* Sings..."

Hello everyone...

I'm excited to say that I'll have prints on sale on the Narrow Planet stand at ExpoNG this weekend - Palmerston, Corris No.7 and Lew, so that you can see them in the flesh so to speak... I will be 'next door' behind Creech Grange if you want to discuss a commission.

The prints will be just £10 each on the day, or £25 for a set of all three - limited numbers are available as this is the end of the run for these prints - more will be announced in the 'railway series' shortly!
