RMweb Gold Alister_G Posted July 2, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 2, 2014 Julian is right, there's a definite smile on the wolf, but actually, I think it's quite a friendly look - it must be the twinkle in those eyes. Brilliant stuff Jaz, absolutely fantastic.

Sweven
Jaz the Wolf is superb, the highlighting really brought it to life - brilliant.
Jaz
The LAST ones add the reflections....so you can see the whites of his eyes, and highlight his nose....yes really rmweb2326wall182 add the MK and 1877 in the correct order..... rmweb2327wall183 rmweb2328wall184 and step back for a final look and I give you............mkwolf1877.
Jaz
LOL......you lot .....he did look good....but he needed all the highlighting ........thank you very much for the compliments. ....I am really pleased with him. I will do a test run on the layout as well ....tonite or tomorrow.....so you can see how it is looking in place......taking pictures will be fun.......as I need to be a very muscular flea on the wall to hold onto the camera and take the picture looking back in to the middle of the room...without doing selfies. That will need some serious contortionist moves......I need to think how to set the camera down....focus....and press the button....... ......do you remember that game where there are circles on a plastic mat the size of dinner plates.....and the opponent tells you were to put your hand or foot...just before u fall...A over T..... That'll be me trying to ge the pictures done.
jcredfer
You have every right to be pleased, that looks brilliant. mkwolf1877 will have to admit ...................... he has never looked better .......... Time for Kal ............................... .....do you remember that game where there are circles on a plastic mat the size of dinner plates.....and the opponent tells you were to put your hand or foot...just before u fall...A over T.....That'll be me trying to ge the pictures done. .............................. to be lurkin' with a camera handy ............... Jaz
These are not pretty pictures....but you'll get the general idea of where we are going....and some more items to help the scale rmweb2329wall185 I'm trying to blend with C&WRs graffiti LOL. skals across the tracks...... rmweb2330wall186 I didn't think this building would be bedded in....and I changed to a 'sky' coloured jumper so as to be a less conspicuous, and faded the edges. rmweb2331wall187 rmweb2332wall188 Kal was saying I have not done a 'modern' version of graffiti yet.

Jaz
below where the signal box was sitting rmweb2337wall193 the tracks here look awful...now we have improved the ones near the station...another job to schedule.... rmweb2338wall194 a possible alternative to the signal box rmweb2339wall195 this building would have stood there a long time...and probably been covered in graffiti...but I can't deface it...I might add powders for some additional weathering, or attempt a light powder wash the other direction rmweb2340wall196 Edited July 3, 2014 by Jaz
Brass0four
Jaz, - that building is perfect for the site - a nice model and a nice piece of foreground bulk. I'd like to see the signal box pair up with the station buildings, at the end of the far platform(?). Its a nice model and will look much better in a lineside site IMHO. I like the fresco in less sharp shots, with general lighting. It shows how they'll appear, as a background to the trains in general usage. (For my logo, I'd love either TONKIN or tonkin in pseudo Sino-Japanese calligraphy. It would complete it beautifully!) tonkin - my FB name and now my "name of plums" RMweb. I can't do anything about Brass0four - I wish I could - there is a reason for it, but it's way out of date

jcredfer
A Chain-link fence never stopped anyone ............................... for very long ............. this building would have stood there a long time...and probably been covered in graffiti...but I can't deface it...I might add powders for some additional weathering, or attempt a light powder wash Stood by Noddy Radar, next to my strategically placed Bomb ... [dummy, I assure you] ...................... looking for route to plant another by the next Noddy ................ double shadow moves on the wall of a nearby building - one tall, the other menacingly low ..... Down - flat, silent, in an instant - freeze - face pressed into the grass like Blue-Tac round a speaker .................... deep "Woof" .............. B****r, the thing just indicated "Scent" to the Handler ............... far to close - GO! ........... .......... cross the grass to the 16 ft Fence topped with 3 x rolls of Dannert Razor wire ......................... RAF Police dog can't be far off the heels .... ................ but not interested in looking to check he brushed his teeth before the Shift ....... run up post and grab the overhang support, pull up hard and swing feet over the Dannert .......... unassisted - 3 Seconds from base of Radar to feet down outside ...................... my Sgt was counting apparently ..... [PS. OK - Fess-up time - what I had heard barking, close behind, was not a Police dog, but a [none-the-less large] domestic pet being walked by one of the Officers who worked there ..... My Sgt who was watching [from a safe distance, I add] wasn't just counting the seconds he, was rolling about laughing, as he was located where he could see the Officer and the dog, not just the shadow on the wall .... .. He was also doing it extremely quietly, as the Unit did sport the dogs with Trained Nasher things ... ...... and they don't get trained to ask questions before saying "Fang-you very much!" .....
Brass0four
Have u considered asking a mod? If they can manually change it? I haven't and it is worth try, but I think it's to do with posting statistics... You can leave, then join again ( I know someone who did that) but you start with zero. Not necessarily a bad thing. If I do it, it'll be when starting a thread.* * I know - pigs, etc., etc., tonkin PS: Nearly forgot (my sponge of a brain these days!) T/K as discussed, would be perfect, too.

Jaz
The redcap-crane's feathers are exquisite - a lot of work! I did check the pattern carefully ......and tried to get them aligned...even tucked the tail further........ what did you produce it in originally? Oil?
Jaz
some colours might need to be intensified in order that they are seen better.....but that will wait until it is 'finished' and a comparison can be made rmweb2345wall201 The 'Banksey' needs finishing BUT it takes TWO spots....so I need to get people's graffiti first.. rmweb2346wall202 rmweb2347wall203 they will need the 'floor' bought up to scratch so they blend in more track to weather...and a long view rmweb2348wall204
Brass0four
I did check the pattern carefully ......and tried to get them aligned...even tucked the tail further........ what did you produce it in originally? Oil? (chuckle) - Its actually screen-printed on fabric. It's a scarf called a *fukusha* Cutting stencils is laborious but once done, you can produce more. (Don't ask. They belong to Nichiren Shoshu Taisikiji and are not for general sale.)
