  2. Ey up! It's Tuesday which is over 60s cricket day so.. its raining ... PAH! Awaiting a call to confirm its too wet..problem is.. the away team may want to turn up.. in which case they need to be wary of the fickle finger of fate... Time to... sit and wait.... Baz
  3. Ey up! Off to the barbers today to get my ears lowered.. great! Put our bird feeder out yesterday. One in the front has been toppled.. and not by a bird ..Will investigate on the way to the Barbers. Pah! A relative completed the marathon in support of the hospice who looked after his sister in Scarborough. Hopefully they will be receiving a bitnof money for his efforts. Tidying up is listed for the day once I return. Pah! Eurovision.. well its awful.. so bas even the radio commentator found a lot to say about it all. Timetogetamoveon! TTFN. Baz PS I loved Calculus and much preferred pur mathematics to applied.. and still managed to become an engineer
  4. Ey up! A tad misty here at the moment. As it happens we are confined to home all day as access by road will be difficult due to a kotbof people raising funds for various charities undertaking marathons/ half marathons/ ?fun? Runs around these parts. If the mist goes I must cut the grass.. pah! Ttfn Baz
  5. All went well. We are including a weathering demo from one of our junior members as well as other activities.. Baz
  6. Ey up from a sun doused Coniston.baz is a strange pinkish colour.. much better than rain induced rust! Would you buy a used car from this lot? Includes an ex rocket propellant person, a lawyer, a musician and someone who was h3avily involved in cleaning up sewage... Had a cracking few days at the Sun Inn. As usedby Donald Campbell for his water speed attempts.. Visited Bluebird..looked very dodgy to me.. bit nice to see it restored in Coniston. Local brewery brews a beer namedafyer me.. the O part that is.. Time for pre dinner champers... Look after yourselves! Baz
  7. Ey up! Getting ready for a quick visit to Coniston meeting some university friends. Could involve eating and drinking. Got to go.. bags to be packed, car to be loaded.. Baz
  8. Did alright till you got to the avocado aka green putty!try pork sausages with marmalade.. I quite enjoy a ham, cheddar cheese and Marmite sarnie or toasty... Salt.. never use it apart from crisping pork rind... My game today is off.. Buggggrrrrrittt. So no trophy to Glossop... It gives me a day longer to get rid of my cold though. Her indoors went for a minor op on a skin blemish. Local anaesthetic applied.. item removed by scraping it off using a scalpel. Scrapings off to the lab.....should be ok Baz
  9. Ey up! Her indoors likes bacon with a bit of mustard in her sarnie...just sayingnlike... Came back from Bristol with a cold.. pah! Over 60s cricket is in Glossop today. Hopefully they avoided the flash floods we had here yesterday. Frost was filmed mainly in Leeds. It was good playing "spot the location" but the continuity was a bit off. Police cars were obviously capable of teleportation. Time to get up and gerronwithit methinks. Baz
  10. My (scratchbuit by my late Fater) B16 gas the bogie pivot just behind the buffer beam. Doing this has been a revelation.. so this idea has been used on other NER locos.. Baz
  11. We had a great weekend. Layout worked well, lots of very positive comments and possibly 2 wxhibition bookings. A few repairs to odd bits of the layout are required but the signals need the servos connecting, the houses need finishing and.. well time to start a new set of scenic boards? Baz
  12. Ey up! Got back from Bristol very late last night.. most of the M1 and M5 have 50mph limits for longgggg stretches. Can I claim delay repay off the Highwayys agency and their invisible repair contractors? Today will be spent rearranging items which run on parallel bits of metal for storage purposes plus the odd repair. Time to head for breakfast. Baz
  13. Picture includes our layout Chapel en le Frith (Central) crat3d ready to go in the van as well. We enjoyed our weekend.. got back to Leeds after a Tamworthit stop.layout back in club rooms by just after 11pm. Baz
  14. You need to thank the late Nigel Mann for the layouts.. now in the safe care of Heather... The Association lead on layouts etc... Baz
