  1. My brothers Hornby EMU made so many sparks it was close to looking realistic!
  2. Hi, Woodland scenics do a water one which i have a bag of, - one day when I try it out I will let you know what it is like! John.
  3. Still frozen outside - just have to spend some time on the railway today!

  4. Hi, The Slaters 7mm corrugated sheets painted an asbestos colour also make a fine example of what was known in the building trade as Big 6 sheets, used almost entirely on Industrial units the corrugations were 6 inches high. John.
  5. HI, Looking very impressive, It will be quite a structure when its all assembled. The weathered corrugated sheets look very good. John
  6. Men in their twenties like to play football. Men in their thirties like to play cricket. Men in their forties like to play snooker. Men in their fifties like to play golf. Have you noticed as men get older, their balls get smaller!
  7. Hi, well you certainly have caused a movement over the toilet emptying services at Minster haven't you!

  8. Hi, Yes, you have jogged the memory a bit now Brian, Bristol Show, about 2 years ago a trader in number one hall had a diorama set up with pipe work fittings and I asked him about it. He said it was just something he knocked up for the show to demonstrate the fittings used in the flesh, sure it was the guy that had some of your American kits for buildings on it so that is where they may have come from. John
  9. Hi, Not sure how small a bend you are looking for - an elbow - or a bend - but you can buy the mini benders for bending various size brass tube or small dia rod. This does not answer your problem for flanges for the joints unless it is more for gas pipe line which would have mostly welded joints anyway. John.
  10. Minster is back from the Cardiff show and operating again on its home turf!

Thanks for the drink last night.

  11. A Bachmann class 150/2 DMU in Arriva trains livery has joined the fleet on Minster.

Apparently the Arriva 158 was much loved by many at the show, so it is only right to bring an extra unit to the depot!

  12. Thanks to Danemouth for the superb photos of Minster, I hear some people are interested in the fiddle yard -

This consists of a 3 road sector plate serving 5 incoming/outgoing roads.

The layout is wired from the fiddle board using a pair of double pole rotary switches

One feeds the 3 road sector table and the other the 5 incoming roads.

  13. Minster by name and Minster is the layout.

Thanks to all for making the Cardiff show such a success and hope if you came along you enjoyed minster on its first outing.
