  1. Afternoon all

......We went to Le Mans for some of the early scrutineering today. The pitlane on such a day is rather fine, and being there slightly surreal, and Sherry enjoyed that. We spent some time talking to Stephen and June, who own a 1976 Corvette, and really only go to Le Mans to see Corvettes! The promised gentle temperatures followed by storms from midday did not appear, and it just got hotter and hotter. Pleasant enough but neither of us flourishes in that sort of sun.

  2. Just boarded "Normandie" at Portsmouth for my latest reunion with Ian. Every vehicle is being searched with luggage going through X ray! And body scanner beeped of course because of my hips! I couldn't identify a shape with metal in my case so had to open it up. Electric toothbrush! Doh!

  3. No shame there, Bill. Some of us find it easy to talk about the past, good or bad, and some of us don't. Neither group is wrong.

I am obviously a bounder - but then you all knew that! - because each of my two wives has been nicked from another bloke. Implausibly, each of those guys has shared a drink with me in the last few months!".....................

............... Sherry and I knew of each other at skool, and we had been in daily contact for some years before Deb's death in 2012. I couldn't imagine a more suitable new partner, and pestered her from 2013 onwards. When daughter Caro blew the gaff on what mum had been up to in March 2014, Sherry realised the time was now right to please me. And, most of the time, she seems pretty pleased, too! ...........Sherry arrives next week. Life could be a lot worse.

I rated this comment "agree" to the content above, especially the bounder part.

  4. From memory (My 3 are all in their 30's now) the mother's diet does seem to come through the bairn quite quickly. Cauliflower and sprouts were soon avoided.

I found rhubarb was rather cleansing for baby as was sloe gin!

  5. American companies are awash with Vice Presidents, each responsible for one of finance, marketing, production, whatever. As noted, their status is a little less secure than the title suggests.

    Vice President?

For the avoidance of doubt, we are still speaking! In fact, we're sharing hot cross buns with our coffee!

  6. I have just woken and cannot figure what a VP is apart from video producer and voice protocol, neither of which seem relevant. I do hope that things improve Michael.

    Vice President?
