I'm also still planning to model a couple of blue/grey MK2As with white Trans-Pennine branding, although close up reference photos are hard to come by. I've identified at least two such vehicles that existed though.

I'd love such a rake and am determined to have one. I actually asked Mike about this when I visited his shop a couple of years ago, but at the time he did not think it would be practical. I am looking at having a few of the Regional Railways MK2s partially resprayed and rebranded once they are released, but the FK and MK1 BG might have to be full resprays. A RTR Trans-Pennine set would therefore be very welcome.

For me it started with the Hornby 'Midnight Freight' set as a kid in the late 1980s. This comprised a Railfreight red stripe liveried Class 58 and a few random wagons which, of course, were not prototypical. I remember Mighty White and Red Arrows branded vans, but there were a few others too.

Up until the mid-90s I collected a few other OO pieces and joined the Blyth & District Model Railway Society (BDMRS) as a junior member when we lived in Northumberland. My favourite model was a Lima Class 47 that was fully resprayed into InterCity ScotRail livery as 47637 'Springburn' by Cramlington Models. I later sold the handful of locos and stock I had built up to fund my first holiday to Spain with friends when I was about 16. I took very little interest in trains during the late 90s and early 2000s.

In the late 2000s, and by now living abroad and in my late twenties, I fancied the idea of a N gauge layout in my apartment and happened upon the CJM Models website, where I saw the then recently completed Class 47/7 push-pull set in BR Large Logo blue with blue/grey MK3s and DBSO that someone had commissioned. I ended up ordering a set in the mid-80s full ScotRail livery and that was my first foray back into the hobby. I thought I might as well prove to myself that I was serious, as it certainly cost a few quid! Since then I've been building up a fair amount of N gauge locos and rolling stock and continue to do so. Maybe one day when I move back to the UK I'll even join a club again.

I'm not generally a fan of factory-weathered models, but I have both of the ScotRail-branded Blue/Grey MK1s and the earlier Blue/Grey  MK1 works coach pack. I think both look good.

I'm also planning to purchase the forthcoming weathered Blue/Grey unbranded SK and TSO to run with the ScotRail pair.

Great thread. I live in Abu Dhabi and with a large Indian, Pakistani and Nepali population here, I am spoiled as there are tons of great and affordable restaurants serving proper authentic food.

I too have not seen them in the flesh, but from the photos I can find online of the latest 33 in Trainload Construction livery, it looks like they are still using the same incorrect shades they have used on previous triple grey releases. That does not bode well for 50149, unless they finally address the issue.

I hope the shades of grey are correct on 50149, as earlier Dapol triple grey models such as the 26, 56 and 86 had incorrect shades.

Any idea what the ID of the MK2 with the Inter-City ScotRail branding at 3:45 in the same video might have been at this time?

Regarding stimming, I occasionally move the fingers of both hands rapidly at the same time, often with my hands behind my neck. I've never seen anyone else do it and have never been able to explain it. It is only when I'm sitting down and usually when concentrating on something, e.g. when working. I usually only do it for a few seconds. I'm now wondering whether this can be explained as stimming or something else. To me it just feels like a release of energy.

I believe that is correct.

EoI placed for a NSE version. Should be a very nice model if the N gauge version comes to fruition.

To add to the above, I have since learned that it wore 'Dutch' livery for a couple of years before a fresh repaint back into SYP green again. It had it's high-intensity headlights by then and that is when it had the TOPS-style D6508 applied to each end.

I still guess the model is incorrect, though.

Would these have ran in the same formations as KFAs?

Having already got a BR Blue and Dutch version from the previous run, I do fancy 33008 and 33114.

I have been looking at photos of 33008 in service, and whilst it wore several variations of BR Green livery, I cannot find any photos of it in Green SYP livery with the number positioning and font combination shown on the model. The model depicts 33008 numbering at both ends each side, in TOPS font.

Before it received its high-intensity headlights, it wore 33008 numbering at one end each side, but in the pre-TOPS sans-serif font.

Around the time it received its high-intensity headlights, it received D6508 numbering at both ends in TOPS font, plus small '008' in black on the yellow ends.

Unless anyone can put me right, it looks like a renumbering job.

Rather than start a new topic, I hope you don't mind me continuing this thread.

I bought 2 x Dapol 33s from the previous batch (not this month's latest releases), both of which were DCC factory-fitted.

I don't know specifically which brand of 6-pin chip they are fitted with, but when I run them using my Bachmann Dynamis controller, they both stutter/jerk when running. This does not get any better no matter how long I run them for. Both chips are set to the usual address '3'.

I have tested both locos on DC and they run smoothly without issues. I also temporarily tested them with a Lenz Silver Mini chip from another loco and they ran great with that too.

Has anyone else had any issues running these with the factory-fitted chips, or is anyone able to advise what the issue might be? Any advice would be most appreciated.
