  1. Even though there is no snooker on live feed at the moment. I still have the theme tune playing away!

  2. I believe that even pigs and DC10s can fly!

  3. Hi Thanks for the info. I only wondered as i had some replica one left from years ago and having seen someone selling chassis for £30 i wondered if it was possible to do one with an intial minimum amount of work. I certainly didnt know the detail differences on that. If it were a 737-300 v a 737-700 series however i could tell the difference at a 100 paces. Paul
  4. Hi Peter One question i have is. What make are your 45/1s. I've been tempted by a few and wondered if i could use a replica shell on a current Bachmann chassis? Thanks Paul
  5. Correct. 47805 (47490) was the first carrier of the Bristol Bath Road nameplates. It lost them and then 47816 gained Bristol Bath Road Quality Approved nameplates. The last day saw 805 just happen to roll in for exam. There were some photos of 805 and 816 posed together. Also on shed on the last day was D172 which worked a railtour to Newcastle the following day, oh and numerous 47/7s. Me personally i loved bath road, i spent many hours at the end of P10/12 watching the movements. 37219 and 50015 are musts. They were allways hanging around. 47673 Galloway Princess was also quite common by 1992/1993. I've just been looking back through my old photos of the place. Makes me sad to see temple meads as a station now! Paul
  6. The answer is 47805. And anyone know whats special about 805? Paul
  7. Ok heres a bit of trivia involving bath road. What was the last loco to recieve an A exam on this depot? Lets see if anyone can get it. Paul
  8. As a Bristolian basher in the late 80s and early 90s i can never recall seeing 555 on shed, not saying it never visited but it certainly wasnt a common machine. If you want common choose anyone of the Bath Road Specials. 609/834 and 620/835 were always there. I dont think Bath Road trusted any othert depot with them. Good to see you have 37219 as that was another one. 37263 with its dented headcode panel. 50015, 08800. All regulars that locals were bored to tears with. Paul
  9. Some interesting shots there Grimley. Is that 643 just peaking in to the shot of 644? The one i want to do is 47642. Dont know why as i never copped it. I just liked the look of it. Also is that a builders plate i spy on 47467? In terms of the models they are superb. The weathering is excellent. Its an area which can make or break a layout and in this case its been very easily made. Ok i'm going to get my rose tinted glasses on and look back through my old notebooks. It was better back in the old days. Paul

N - models are much better and you can pack in so much more in a good sized space.

If you have $64bn I would go for the WCML in 5" gauge live steam in a bespoke aircraft hanger...

  13. Saw this with great interest as i have a thing for 33s. I have to say £199 is steep. I'm almost tempted to use the 33/1s that hattons are knocking out cheap and converting them back to 33/0s. In terms of the twin packs is it not becuase of the minimum run and therefore this is a good way of potentially getting rid of them all even at the risk that some sales may be compromised? Also compared to the 2011 average Hornby list price £199 for two is distinctly average. Saying that i think it will still struggle. However only time will tell. Paul
