  1. Hello everyone Summing up the results so far: 2 items - Top 50 2 items - High Polling (other than Top 50). (We have not included the J70 yet as that hasn't been confirmed.) 2 items - Middle Polling 0 items - Low Polling Brian (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  2. Warley & The Wishlist Poll 2016 Results (7) Hornby has announced the Class 800 in 00. This was 'new to The Poll' in 2015 and found itself Low Polling. However, for 2016, it had moved up to Middle Polling. From looking at the survey being run on the Hornby site, it should be a very popular item. Brian (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  3. Warley & The Wishlist Poll 2016 Results (6) Hornby has announced the Class 87 in 00. Since 2012, the class has fared as below. 2012 - High Polling (towards the top) 2013 - High Polling (but now in The Top 50) 2014 - High Polling (still in the Top 50 but now the most-wanted electric loco) 2015 - High Polling (higher up The Top 50; still the most-wanted electric loco) 2016 - High Polling (now up to about 16th place in The Top 50; still the most-wanted electric loco) Brian (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  4. Warley & The Wishlist Poll 2016 Results (5) Hornby has announced the LMS Ivatt Coronation (Duchess) (46256-46257) in 00. (The company has also announced the 'other' version, but that hasn't been in The Poll as it was re-tooled after our cut-off date - but good news that that it is being brought up to current high standards. We have had a number of requests to list it, but we have to go by our 2000 cut-off date.) This is the first new LMS loco for some years. The type has fared as below: 2012 - Middle Polling (towards the lower echelons) 2013 - Middle Polling (now towards the middle) 2014 - Middle Polling 2015 - Middle Polling (but now towards the higher echelons) 2016 - High Polling In 2016, it was the 7th most-wanted LMS & Constituents loco with 166 votes. Brian (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  5. Warley & The Wishlist Poll 2016 Results (4) Hornby has announced the GWR Toad Brake Van (AA15) in 00. This vehicle has been High Polling since 2012, but was at its highest point ever last year - coming in at approx.120th position overall. (Speaking personally here, the separate handrails will no doubt be an excellent feature.) Brian (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  6. Warley & The Wishlist Poll 2016 Results (3) I don't have full details yet, but photos from Andy York suggest that TMC has announced a Double Bolster wagon in 00. We list LNER/LMS/BR Plate/Double Bolster/Trestle Wagon, so it will be interesting to see if the other two types spin off (which seems a practical possibility). We changed the way we listed certain wagons in 2015, so I can't give you a report back to 2012. However, in 2015 it was Middle Polling. In 2016, it was still Middle Polling but much higher up the segment. Brian (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  7. Warley & The Wishlist Poll 2016 Results (2) Following yesterday's 'teasing post' by Chris Leigh, Model Rail is looking for expressions of interest for the GER J70 Tram Loco in 00. We won't take it out of the 00 Poll yet, but will wait for confirmation that the project is proceeding which - going by its Poll popularity - should be a good choice for many modellers. Below is how it has fared since 2012. 2012 - Middle Polling 2013 - High Polling (but in the lower echelons of the segment) 2014 - High Polling (but now towards the middle of the segment) 2015 - High Polling 2016 - High Polling (but now towards the top of the segment and not far short of The Top 50) In 2016, it was the sixth most-wanted LNER & Constituents loco with 224 votes. It was behind the GER N7 (256 votes); Sentinel Railcar (252); NER J26/J27 (244); GER J67/J69/J68 (229); and the LNER W1 Hush Hush (226). Brian (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  8. Hello everyone Warley & The Wishlist Poll 2016 Results Realtrack Models has announced the Class 156 DMU for 00. This DMU has always been popular with voters, so it is good to see it come to fruition. Below is how it has fared since 2012. 2012 - High Polling (but in the lower echelons of the segment) 2013 - High Polling 2014 - High Polling (now in The Top 50) 2015 - High Polling (slightly higher up The Top 50) 2016 - High Polling (higher again at position 17 overall) In 2016, the Class 156 was the second most-wanted DMU (305 votes) behind the Class 120 (with 347 votes). I'll let you have other results as they appear. If you haven't yet seen The Poll Results, you can find them at the start of this thread. Brian (on behalf of The Poll Team
  9. Hello Edwardian See link below for the Dean Goods (which is presumably what you were talking about?) Brian http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/117156-national-collection-in-miniature-dean-goods-class-no-2516/ Edit: Sorry - just realised that you had already seen it and were now referring to Rapido as opposed to Oxford Rail!
  10. Hello Metadyneman I'm sure many of us feel very sad about the demise of 'the old MREmag' - but I'll be keeping an open mind about the 'new one' for the time being. The overwhelming majority of people who have been in touch with me wanted to keep the edited version of 'Have Your Say', so it remains to be seen as to whether yet another forum will actually work. To my mind, it had a unique quality that many appreciated. The eMag is an entirely different subject, although the two will no doubt be inextricably linked. Fingers crossed! Brian
  11. Hello Black Hat The LMS Stanier Mogul was in The Top 50 in 2012; the Coal Tank was the second most-wanted LMS type. In 2013, the top LMS loco became the Caprotti Black 5, with the Coal Tank remaining second. Brian Macdermott (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  12. Hello 34 Speaking personally, mine has been on actual order since 17.15 on 20 January 2012. Speaking with my Poll Team hat on, we don't have any 'set policy' on such matters, only that The Guide gets reviewed totally every year. There is a similar situation with Heljan with the announced Wickham Railbus. A response by Heljan to an email from The Team in August 2015 said that it was planned for delivery in 2016. We have a note 'in our diary' for early January 2017 to check that if one has not arrived this year. Brian
  13. Hello Crepello The V2 isn't listed as it was made in 2004. We exclude items post-2000. Otherwise - as noted in the Q&A - we would be making 'quality judgements' as to what goes in or out. Brian Macdermott (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  14. Hello 34 The Class 21/29 is not in the 00 Poll as it has been announced by Dapol. Hattons has it on their website for pre-order, but with no delivery date. They show a CAD. The two classes are still in the N Poll. Brian Macdermott (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  15. Hello Ventnor An Industrial Crane Tank has been in The Wishlist Poll since 2014. In this year's Results published yesterday, the type made it into The Top 50 of 00 and was High Polling in N. Brian Macdermott (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  16. Note for HMRS Paul #32 Would you kindly email me at The Poll Team email address as below? I can't PM you for some reason. Thanks Brian Macdermott (on behalf of The Poll Team) thepollteam(at)gmail(dot)com
  17. Hello Legend Sorry to hear that. There are two CR locos in the LMS High Polling segment. The NBR J36 was High Polling last year but has just (by a small margin) slipped back into the Middle Polling segment - despite getting ten more votes. Looking at the year-on-year results, 'Scottish' types are coming up slowly but surely, so don't lose heart! The NER has seen not one but two manufacturers look at the Q7, for example, and many thought that such a loco would never be made. We sent out Press Releases to many Scottish societies, but we missed getting into at least three as their publication dates were too early for us to be included. And we did supply a Poll Poster on the earlier Poll thread for readers to put up at clubs or send to their friends. The Bulleid Leader was Middle Polling in 2012 but has gone higher ever since. The Dreadnoughts have been steadily climbing over the years also. Brian Macdermott (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  18. Hello Paul We elected long ago to term the Polls N and 00 for ease of understanding by most voters. The Carflat is listed as 'various Diagrams from 1959'. The Oxford version is later (1964). We are not aware of a Bachmann version. Did you mean the NGS one in N? We list the Sole to give a variant for the LMS (and I have feeling it was suggested by Ozexpatriate many moons ago). We say in The Guide text they had long lives. It would be 'doubling up' if we listed under BR also. We have had a 7mm (0) Poll on the Agenda since we started running in 2012 and it is on the 2017 Agenda again already. Brian Macdermott (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  19. Hello Oz I have just found that myself! (Good job it wasn't the one headed "Draft Poll Team Plans For World Domination"!!) I'll try to get that removed next year. I don't want to risk damaging the results PDFs this year. Brian Macdermott (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  20. Hello Raised on Steam The J26/J27 has been in the Top 7 of the LNER list since 2012 and was actually top of that category last year. Although it has slipped from top-spot, it is now in the overall Top 50. Brian Macdermott (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  21. Hello Oz Industrial list sent from the Poll Team email address to you. Brian (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  22. Hello Oz I have no idea how that header got there and can't see it myself. We did run a survey with Robert Carroll's BRCS Yahoo Group some years ago - but that would have nothing to do with these results whatsoever. The F16 and F24 Slip Coaches are both High Polling, so not too bad. Brian (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  23. Hello Phil Many thanks for the kind comments - much appreciated as usual. We always give the voter totals at the end of the 'Most Wanted' results (as they are the most downloaded). 00 - 2473 (up from 2178 in 2015) N - 552 (up from 528 in 2015) Brian (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  24. Hello Johnny I guess you mean the 78xxx. This is how it has fared since 2012. 2012 - 9th overall. All eight ahead of it (apart from the Class 120) have been made or announced. 2013 - 2nd 2014 - 2nd 2015 - 2nd 2016 - 1st. It had been second in previous years to the Gated Level Crossing. Brian (on behalf of The Poll Team)
  25. Hello Pete I'm not sure that I understand your posting. Brian (on behalf of The Poll Team)
