I've used maskol around the edges of grills to good effect. Acts like a dam wall and stops any bleeding.

They do look good. Good luck with the assembly.

Thank you to both of you for a speedy reply and link. I will go and have a look.

As you are a huge yellow fan I wonder if you can help me with information?
On my travels through the net I came across a yellow coach, I believe it was a crew coach but could be wrong (I frequently am, )
It carried the Eastfield terrier. Do you have any information & possible photo reference, would this be the only carriage to carry depot motifs?
Thank you for any pointers or information you can provide.

Not checked the back to backs. It's buried at the moment but it was 4th radius curves.
I do remember at the time of release the net was awash with complaints of it derailing and I noted a lot were replaced with second batches.
As I say I've still to fully investigate the issue. Just wondered how you were getting on with yours.
When I finally get to it I'll post my findings if it is a mechanical production fault.

I see you have a pondelino, have you had any problems derailing? I do, but have still to investigate why. It was noticed during its running in on an oval on the dinning table. I think it may have something to do with the tilting mechanism. I believe once tilted something may be fouling because once it returns on straights it jumps off the track on one bogie only.
Nice start on the layout. Lots of potential fun.
Painting the boards first is a good idea. It will help with planning out your scenics, seeing what will fit where and it helps to hide the wood when some scatters don't cover as you wish.

Big jim,
I've never had that happen to me, yet. The other product I use is Model strip, about £5.

Remove your glazing and drop it in brake fluid if you have any kicking around.

I'm like your work as always Dave.
I'm currently scouring the net for useful pictures of depot buildings as used at eastfield and the likes in order to build some low relief shed fronts for our small depot representation.
Watching with great interest as always.

I've been popping in from time to time. It's not my scale but you had me at diesels. It's nice to see an O guage layout featuring them.
Keep the updates coming because I'm looking forward to seeing this develop.
All the best in the forthcoming year!

Thanks David.

Found this through google and have really enjoyed reading through it but it seems to have come to an abrupt end.
Anything to share with us, possibly photos of your 37118. I've just done a reprint into this livery.

I really like your Ethel and the Scottish 37's. incredibly neat work!
I'll need to add a couple more split head 37's to our Scottish fleet. (The wife will be happy, )

I hope you don't mind me asking, which paint/paints have you used for your Tarmac colour? It looks very realistic.
Thanks for your time,

Just caught up Mark, so apologies for a late congratulations on the birth. A few months on now you should be finding a little time for running sessions, (fingers crossed).
Would you believe I've finally got a track plan after designing over a hundred for various locations around the house (blame the wife. ). Not only that I've layed it onto the boards and even started soldering droppers (shock horror something's actually happening, lol).
Looking forward to next year where I hope to get back out around the shows.
Cheers for now,

That's a cracking gantry, it must have taken an age to do but well worth the effort.

21-8 pin harness. You may find there is not enough room to fit a harness and a decoder. Space is always at a premium.
Food for thought,

I've found rail red to very orange until you get a third or fourth coat on with the airbrush.

Anytime I've had to colour lights I've used a cheap glass painting kit that was purchased from "The Works Publishers" in the high street for 2 or 3 quid at the time. It came with some plastic window charm things.

Not my era but.....
This is a 3d masterpiece in the making.

Hi Kev,
I've not been on here for a while but decided to catch up with your thread and came to wonder if 37188 (Jimmy Shand) was around your era and if it would make an appearance?

Mark
