  1. The top two bidders have retracted bids in the past.
  2. A nice thick coat of green paint should tone those rivets down!
  3. Interesting to look at the SEMG site. Have a look at the buffers on the DTC in the photos near the bottom of this page: http://www.semgonline.com/gallery/2bil_04.html They look different to each other! The more that I look at photos of 2090, I suspect the NRM version will be plain green as the yellow appears to be visible from the sides.
  4. Looking again at photos of its current and past states, when carrying yellow ends it also appeared to have a much darker shade. It would be great if they portrayed it in this livery though maybe it could be produced at a later date.
  5. Can you sway the decision?!
  6. Just a thought on the NRM version, I appreciate that it has full green ends, but a quick search on the internet shows that it carried full yellow ends when running in the 80's. Here for example: http://andygibbs.zenfolio.com/p870637404/h3A9EB09F#h3a9eb09f I assume that it's going to have green ends which would be a bit of a shame as it wouldn't have been allowed out in service without yellow ends.
  7. It does look absolutely fantastic. It's completely out of era .............. aah, but wait! I remember seeing the NRM one around at open days in the 80's so it's definitely justified! I assume we can expect 4~SUB 4732 in the new items for 2014?!
  8. This fantastically done 47 was £51 when I first started watching it. It's £150 now and I will be interested to see what it goes for. Could this end up as ebay madness? http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1423.l2649
  9. Am I mad thinking that these would be a bit of fun to go on the fridge? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIESEL-TRAIN-SET-Mini-Fridge-Magnet-Set-24-pieces-A-/261131637523?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item3ccca89313
  10. The categories have become so big that I don't often search that way. I quite often search (nse, network) to bring up any NSE items. It does bring up Network Rail stuff but there's not too much. A regular search that I will do is Buy it Nows sorted by newly listed as I have got a few bargains in the past.
  11. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRIANG-MEGA-RARE-UNIQUE-SUBURBAN-MOTOR-COACH-EMU-IN-RED-/181024416235?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item2a25e561eb "All in all a nice rare motor coach that you wont see until i make another."
  12. Are you offering to come with me Ian?
  13. I would have thought a trader may take an interest in it. There's little risk regarding the feedback issue as one would collect and pay cash so if things didn't look as good as they were (or bits missing!) one could turn it down. Whilst not the best idea to offer it as one lot, it has been described well. £1500 maybe?
  14. It is going for £460 with 15 minutes to go! Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a unit and commision someone to spray it?
  15. Not madness, but I can see this going for a fair bit: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320993392632?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_732wt_932 Looks really nice, surprised the pantograph has not been removed though.
  16. Really enjoyed watching it but shame on you Peter Snow! When refering to an old Hornby HST: "These are rare to get hold of". He then proceeds to run it along with a second HST that has a power car and a load of random coaches! I liked all the archives , it really showed how good the HSTs looked in the original livery.
  17. A little overpriced me thinks. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OO-Gauge-Hornby-HST-125-Power-Car-Double-Ended-Special-Made-For-Model-Shop-/290773949211?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item43b37a5b1b
  18. You may wish to put some sort of fencing or protection (ie something that will catch a derailed train or stop it from falling off the edge). I realised I needed this when my Heljan 47 nose-dived off the layout after running into an uncoupled coach!
  19. I heard somewhere that the prototype refurbished 205 (1111/205101/205205) was modified to run with EMUs but was not capable of working with other DEMUs. This may not be right, a photo of 1111 (as refurbished) coupled up to another DEMU would disprove this!
  20. One of those no win situations. You could probably stick a pair of numbers over the double white blanks if needed. I don't like running the units with double reds on the front, the reason I quite like what Hornby did with the VEP.
  21. I've noticed this ebay seller for a couple of months now and the prices seem (almost vertical!) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Hornby-R2792X-Class-153-DMU-153374-East-Midlands-Trains-DCC-Fitted-TL55-/251145184305?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item3a796b6431 £92 for a Hornby 153? Quoted from the listing, "You will not find us to be the cheapest on ebay." No, you're right!
  22. Nothing wrong with the price and the paintwork looks OK. Worth a look though! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRIANG-PULLMAN-DUMMY-CAR-IN-INTERCIY-COLOURS-/320965061570?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item4abb022bc2
  23. Anything rare and collectable MIB will do!
  24. What are you selling then Horsetan? Or should I call you W******* D*****! I'll have a Scotrail 158 please.
