You can't correct a miscarriage of justice after executing the wrong person.

Not in this world no, but when your time comes, him upstairs  will make it all right.

it’s not ultra rare as in, worth a fortune, but there are none on autotrader as far as I know and only a couple on eBay, one is a rust free restored example for £12k and another for £3300, I’m hoping we can salvage it as it’s unusual, it’s not in original condition as the wheels are different and according to @Quarryscapes the spoiler is different too

after japfest dom said he doesn’t fancy another MX5 as there were hundreds and hundreds of them there and I’ll admit it’s inspired me to get the FTO on the road as we only saw 5 there

Hope it works out, are underbody parts still available?

The most likely candidates are Falcon, Ashley or Elva, though Martin is a possibility. The picture below was taken in 1958 at the Robin Hood, Epping which was (briefly) the works for Ashley.

There were lots of similar kit cars though, some manufacturers quite short lived.

I have a book called British Specialist Cars, Specials and Kits but i couldnt see any ones like it in there.

interesting you should put this, my neighbour walked past the car earlier and said “that’s got a Lothian registration number” he’s from Linlithgow and recognised the prefix on the plate

Yes thats the reason, Its the same in the U S where they use road salt. Keep  the car power washed  underneath regularly and you are fine. Out of sight and out of mind though.

Something to check on in the future Jim, are there others in the market available or is that an ultra rare car?

Iwas watching a YT video where someone found a rare Mazda coupe RX-3 from the seventies in a scrapyard completely rotted out and in danger of collapse but because not many came to the UK it was worth saving.

how much waste plastic & foil pill packaging must go into landfill every year.

Absolutely criminal however you can only buy a couple of packs  of sixteen of paracetomol or ibruprofen each so unless you can get them on prescription in a bottle i dont know. You can buy a bottle of one hundred 75mg aspirin tablets from the USA though, well you could a couple of years ago . Its like rim blocks in Tesco, they used be card backed with recyclable plastic but now they have ditched the cardboard, why?

  9. What chassis would this be based on and who made the shell any ideas? This is in Arundel Road Cliftonville Kent circa 1956, the car belonged to a friend of my Dad. The 2nd photo shows me and my mum who would have a go at driving anything.

You might not want to show SWMBO that sentence - it could very easily be taken the wrong way....

Well to start with she is typical Essex Girl and was complete with miniskirt and platform boots in the 70s. She doesnt do computers or mobiles and after being married to me for over fifty years is completely oblivious to any comment i might make..... however she has a thing about tea/coffee mugs and teaspoons. They have to be collected and washed up and if one should disappear, she thinks i am taking the mickey...........as if i would.

We are now all used to air fryers

We have one but never used it, seems complicated to me too many buttons, not unlike the Bosch washing machines with so many different settings! Why do we need them, when you wash clothes by hand, you dont use a thermometer to check water temp, all too fussy.

Packing any vegetable or fruit in plastic bags

And the worst i have found are carrots! Tesco were selling mountains of these in plastic bags at 15p  a week or so ago. You dont realise that they are 85-96 percent water and most of one bag had already turned to mush after a couple of days. I used to grow all sorts here and my carrots were really tasty and stored well. Most now dont seem to have any or little taste and after washing them i dry with paper towel before storing. and you are lucky if they last a week.

The factory was in Hornchurch and the site is covered by a Tesco's and a B&Q but is still known as Roneo Corner.

Yes well remembered by Her Ladyship as she lived in Rush Green and worked in Romford. Much changed since the sixties when i first went out with her and looking on YT not for the better.

We are always amazed, no, thoroughly Peed off at the incredibly short lifespan of supermarket potatoes.    Just how do they do that?

Packing any vegetable or fruit in plastic bags increases the moisture long before they appear on the shelves let alone when you buy them. Better to store in thick brown paper bag, nowhere near plastic. We always used to buy half a sack and i dont remember any of them going rotten if anything they might wrinkle up like a raisin.
