Goodnight all.
Nite nite from a wet and windy Newton Abbot and just remember that if your nose is running and your feet smell, you're upside down! .

Time for me to start tea, as it will be cooking for over 2 hours.
Braising steak topped with some lean bacon under a covering of red, green & orange peppers, tomatoes and spring onion with a vegetable stock. Will be accompanied by some fried mash when done.
All fresh produce.
And for dessert?

You have my sympathy, i have had night sweats for several years now. Combination of low testosterone, 3PD and other issues. I only drink decaf tea and coffee now but sometimes a glass of watered down merlot but it can be debilitating with palpitations as well. I dont think this very unseasonable dreary spring weather helps do you?

In space, no one can hear you say "Actually..."
But according to the calculations of Professor von Proton, that 16 light hours achieved in 47 years is 2300 times less than the distance to Alpha Centauri (if either probe were even heading in that direction). Space is big.
And i think Alpha Centauri and Beta Centauri are the nearest stars to us. Makes you wonder how many billions of galaxies are out there.

You can still get rollover jigs which put the car (safely!) on it's side.
Ok thats good, we didnt worry about H&S then! My memory is rubbish these days, the car was a Cortina Mk 1GT in Dragoon red not 1600E. The latter i bought in the 80s and did a bare metal repaint as it was covered in micro bubbles.

Back in the late sixties i had a crusty Light Orchid 1600E Cortina that needed underbody work. In those days you could buy car rollover frames which bolted onto the axles in place of the wheels. This enabled you to push the car onto its side and much easier than being on your back . Got it all cleaned off, cut out the rot and welded where necessary then treated with Jenolite and painted whole underside with Hammerite. This was a stinky metallic blue type of paint which worked well.

Maybe this should be in the "Those who like airplanes" thread.
I hope that the whole event is successful and the bird will be appreciated by the museum's visitors.
Certainly looking forward to seeing the preparations which hopefully will be on YT, the ones covering its time as a fire bomber were amazing. Cant wait to just hear those engines again which also powered the B-29 on full power lifting it out of the water. Its a shame no one saved a Princess flying boat although the three were cocooned for many years on the Isle of Wight and Calshot.
