  1. I've done the opposite and had property back quicker The UV markings were placed on the chassis, hidden by the bodywork For rolling stock it is hidden inside under the seat inserts or the underframe Also, don't apply the UV marking on easily removed parts, like detachable fuel tanks, etc A label is then placed visible underneath This is primarily for exhibitions, making it easy to identify my own rolling stock quickly The thief thought they had done enough by removing this label, but had not checked for the UV mark I had to identify the model to get it back, which was easily done as I advised exactly where the UV mark should be
  2. Yes, I too thought this would be a similar chassis, however on opening up it completely different and seems to be unique to the Class 91
  3. Don't use the cheapest decoder, use the most appropriate In N gauge my preference is the Digitrax DZ123 / DZ125 Where a 6 pin socket is fitted I use the Bachmann 36-558 Both cost between £12 and £16
  4. The Class 91 uses a completely different type of chassis Take the body off one and take a look The normal method with this is to strip, isolate, and rebuild The pickups are then used instead of the chassis

Sorry to dig up this old post, but this needs slight correction Class 253 sets during the 1980s were formed : TF+TF+TRUK+TS+TS+TRSB+TS Later these were revised to : TF+TF+TRSB/TRUB+TS+TS+TS+TS Hence, why there are two First Class coaches visible It wasn't until the mid 1980s when the TGS vehicles were added that one of the First Class coaches was dropped on all the Class 253
