  1. Lost Boys & Golden Girls - Jim Steinman
  2. Now is the Hour - Gracie Fields - yes, really!
  3. Got a barrel of Branoc being delivered to the Village Hall tomorrow morning for our monthly Sunday lunchtime "do". Must remember to tap it on Saturday night when I get back from the Minehead show, else I'll be in trouble! Only 3.8 ABV, so a nice, easy drinking beer but beware - most people seem to find it a bit of a "windy" brew . . . .
  4. Steppin' in a Slide Zone - Moody Blues
  5. I think it means Cambridge, on the River Cam, in Gloucestershire not Cambridge, on a different River Cam, in Cambridgeshire. The former is near the A38/M5, the latter most definitely isn't! This is what makes geography so fascinating . . . .
  6. Last Train to San Fernando - Lonnie Donegan
  7. I just called to say I love you - Stevie Wonder
  8. Birthday of the Sun - Melanie (Safka). There you go, I've got her in again!
  9. Close to it all - Melanie (Safka). There you go - another mention for the lass!
  10. Stop! I don't want to hear it anymore - Melanie Safka (another fan here. Oh how we used to lust after her when we were all so much younger!)
  11. Goodbye - Mary Hopkin (yes, sad, I know !!!!!!!)
  12. That's a shame. I was going to sound you out about the possibility of an appearance on the Devon/Dorset/Somerset border at a railway charity fund-raiser exhibition, but there's no way I could pay your expenses & still have something left over for "good causes". Still, I'll keep an eye on this thread out of personal interest.
  13. The man with the child in his eyes - Kate Bush
  14. Unit Models. I've got a couple of their tanks "planted" on Tormouth Quay - a rectangular one & an oval one.
  15. It's nice to feel wanted. Well, I'm sure it must be - have no personal experience of that!
  16. Oh Lordy, Lordy, Lordy - not in the slightest! Just thought I should mention it so that anyone who knows "Tormouth Quay" didn't jump to conclusions. Honestly, I'm not in the least bit possessive over the name - I can't even claim to have come up with it all by myself. Here's the story: Must be about 13 or 14 years ago now that the Lyme Regis Historical Society (or some similar organisation) sponsored the showing of an early 1950s film at the local cinema (for want of a better word!). It was called "All around the Town" and had been shot in Lyme - the interest, obviously, was in the "then & now" comparison of Lyme. As often happens, the location had been renamed for the film. Yes, you've guessed, Tormouth. A very nondescript, generic West Country-sounding name, ideal for the film. The name stuck and, a couple of years later popped back out of my head when the new layout started to take shape - a quayside scene set "somewhere in the southwest". Don't worry about it - I'm not! Best wishes for the layout.
  17. Don't even think about it. Glad to be of help. I'm sure you would do the same. I've got another couple of small bits if you need them for anything.
  18. Ben - hope I didn't come over as being snotty or possessive re- the name. Just wanted to point out that this one isn't anything to do with "the other" Tormouth, just in case anyone did get confused. Best wishes.
