Ordered class 185 on Friday 23rd from shapeways they arrived today 5 days good service also donor 170 arrived today now body's will be going to Adam at ElectraRail so he can produce me the the TPE livery vinyls.

Hi Ordered your class 185 3 car unit body's in N gauge Friday 23rd via shapeways they said they will arrive 6th August but today they arrived just 5 days great service they look superb plus the donor 170 unit come today aswell nearly job done now body's will be going to Adam at electraRail Graphics so he can measure them to produce me some vinyls in TPE livery. I just received my order via shapeways from order to receiving it took 5 days the price quoted out of that it was about £13 shipping they said 6th August it come from Netherlands.

Decided to put the vinyls on the two 156s managed to get them done in this heat just to hot indoors I put one of the vinyl doors on wrong end took it off stuck it back on the label went to use it can I find it no, looked everywhere so it looks like a email to Adam at ElectraRail Graphics to see if I can get a replacement that's it for modeling today to hot.

Maiden Newton to Bridport/westbay would have made a nice tourist line if it survived after the 70s plus solve some traffic problems down here.

Done the ballast during the week stuck down in one go just got to weather it a bit.

Thank you, I started off in N so you could say I have done a full circle it's a big difference from 0 down to N everything is so small got to make the wire's yet ballast is done more to follow.

Saturday at 19.15 I parked the bus up for the last time it should have been September when my licence was up for renewal but decided to retire early due to health problems didn't fancy driving for another 3 years when I would have been 66.I will get a little part-time job but no driving no more getting up early and driving 20 miles to work more time on the layout.

Surprised early Birthday present arrived Saturday, TPE transfers on the way got to order the decoders gave it a quick test all working great.

Your layout coming along nicely did you sort your masts the taller one is ground mounted shorter one platform mounted the picture on my thread I put the ground one on the platform no wonder it looked tall I finally finished mine they are so fidderley but look alright.

Managed to do some more on the layout finished the gantries they was just a bit fidderley being so small few burnt finger's but done now put primer on might leave them that shade of grey then pick out the insulators in brown when the primer drys one of the gantries go through the canopy roof so will have to sort that out painted the side's of track aswell so ballast next got to order some guitar strings for the wires that's going to be fun.

Got the soldering iron out this afternoon done this lot still more to do, called it a night now plus eye strain and a few burnt finger's I think they will be stronger to hold the wires the worse was soldering the two register arm together stillgot the support pulleys and insulators to do.

Hi Dave I have started building gantrys I cut the bottom of the posts off as instructed so to fit on the platform posted on my thread one of the comments said it looks too high so confused to the corrected height with platform mounted gantrys.

Hi RobinofLoxley The track is peco the gantries are only standing upright with bluetack just to see what it looks like that one will be taken apart and redone with solder don't thing super glue will be strong enough.

Got a spare couple of hours the single masts I superglue the parts on I also done the gantry but not happy with that so they will be soldered.

A package arrived on Thursday from N Brass Locos this little lot not had chance to start making them yet I did them in 0 gauge but N is going to be a challenge need to make them to make sure they fit to where I need them to be. theres 5 portals

Well having sold my 0 gauge stuff last year due to ill health to which hopefully I am on the turning point but still getting off days as feeling so tired and having time off work, my bus licence runs out in September so decided not to renew that might help me and just find a part time job my wife knew I miss my models we was talking about it she asked what scale would I do again so I said N that was the first layout I built many moons ago so over the last few months wife and my daughter been buying trains and track,boards she was watching what I was looking at on the Internet I was like a kid in a candy shop so got the making of a N gauge layout still lots to do it's so nice of them plus it's lifted me a bit at the moment I have 2x 68s direct & transpennine,2x156s transfers emt & northern,X country voyager & a 350emu started putting transfers on for transpennine 2 sets of nova coaches on order to the layout it's end to end (300cm x 30cm) 180cm scenic 3 platforms OHLE with the wire's as my wife got me a 350emu. Tracks down platforms on station building done not fixed down yet retaining walls on here some pictures.
