  1. Is/was that housed in the stone double story building in the PWay yard ? If it was I very much doubt it's still there, or if it is...operational or cheaper than setting up a cabin with a mini westcad Panel in.
  2. Bristol Panel will remain in service for a very long time yet, only Temple Meads area will move to TVSC next week. The Western end out towards Bath and Bathampton Junction will stay until March 19 I think it is, the last section out to Weston and Bridgwater will remain at Bristol Panel until someone can find a few quid to either move it into TVSC or a mini Panel at Exeter. I think the Midland trainshed plan has been quietly dropped.
  3. Post two is general overview pictures of the board at this point.
  4. Huge steps made over the weekend, board two now has 90% of it track complete minus wiring of course. I've fitted the end and back scene boards to, I've decided to work one board at a time - looking at it as one big project was very daunting, so breaking it up into chunks feels much more achievable. The plan is to build up each board to fully wired and part scenic complete state then move to the next, although I will need to lay the track across the board joints prior to fully moving forward to the next board. Post one is my step by step component building track process, I've really enjoyed the track building so far although points are on board three!
  5. Progress this weekend has been rather good with five full lengths of track laid, Sidings 2,3 & 4 are down with a section of the mainline also down - I need to cut the hole in the back scene for Park Street Tunnel mouth to fit before I can put the next section of mainline down. At the moment only No2 Road is wired, but only temporarily. I’ve enough rail to put two lengths down on all the sidings, and the next length of mainline this will continue over eh next week before I go back to work next weekend. The below picture is of 60037 on No2 Road.
  6. Making a start on board one track laying.
  7. A few pictures of how play ended tonight, I need to order some glue in order to progress with the track work whicj I'll do next week.
  8. With all the boring stuff completed it's time to crack on with prepping the boards for the real deal - track laying ! The first post is about the various stages I've taken to lay out, and secure the templot plan.
  9. Painting now complete (thank god) all boards now resplendent in Railfreight red and grey. Over the next few days I’ll screw the templot pattern onto the cork underlay, and then it’s the fun stuff - track laying !
  10. PTrack building components have arrived, I just need to finish the snagging list on the boards.
  11. The buffer stops I've been working on have acquired a first coat of grime, I need to alter the template plan to avoid board joints then I can crack on with track laying. Although, the first powered moves have now slipped back to late April, early May.
  12. Today I finally took the plunge and carried out the required work to the boards that will pretty much finish the construction aspect of the project. I had to swap the scenic break from boards one and five, over to two and four - this involved dismantling and rebuilding said boards, once complete I fitted the side board clip/catches to ensure alignment. Next job is to princes d top coat the frames in a nice shade of Railfreight red.
  13. You do indeed, managed to watch all three series and half the first movie building the boards lol After much searching I found them on eBay, however Screwfix do them to - or at least did.
  14. I ordered with C&L a few days ago, spoke to the chap on the phone to confirm payment via the account details sent (not ideal but hey ho). Really nice chap, explained he hopes to get up to speed within a month. It has restored my faith as I was worried about ordering from them again.
  15. Loose fitted frame work in place - my super glue had dried up so I need to get some more.
  16. 750 sleepers laid temporarily to get a idea of where the plan needs to be moved about to avoid joints. The end scenic boards will also need some modification.
