The bargains are not as predominant as they were just a few years ago. It seem to be a giant online shopping centre now instead of an auction site. When was the last time you went to an auction and the item had a buy it now price !!

Just take enough cash for your lunch, train fare or what ever it maybe OR just say to hell with it and spend away

Too kind Phil and I hardly doubt I could do better. Don't have a layout as such basically and oval with 2 sidings and running a couple Hornby trains I had some 30 years ago as a kid. I think that may change at Christmas however. Just absorbing all the great layouts and tips on here so I can make a better decision as to what I want. I think I want to go DCC and Bachmann Dynamis just deciding on the track now. Major brand over here is Atlas so we will see about that. I will post some snaps once the layout starts Regards Scott

I guess the best way we can show our disappoint is with our wallets.........by not opening them. I think there will be plenty of people to purchase them and of course those that won't. Not everyone either knows or models prototypically. I am by no means an expert, I enjoy my modelling and collecting trains that to me look cool, where is the harm in that. If I am not bothered by the things that are not right that is my issue, for those that are don't by it. Hornby will get the message loud and clear. I think they may have been trying to achieve a happy medium.

Being relatively new to the forum, I just had to go back and read the thread from the start. You are making a great job of this layout and I have enjoyed reading it thus far. Looking forward to seeing the continued progress. This is a great source of inspiration for me. Regards Scott
