  2. I have been asked how the APT P coaches are built, so here is an exploded view of Lab 8 Pilot......
  3. Hi All, A few photos of PoP 2 under its first running tests. Train is about 90% complete now. I have to add underfloor detail as yet....... Tests completed all ok. It was the very first run of my Baby Deltic also... A video of the first run can be viewed here... : www.apt-e.org/leadleykits/videos/pop2.wmv The video shows PoP 2 going around radius 1 corners with no problems. I forgot to put silicon grease on the front H4X so sorry about the squeak. Pilot Lab 8 has a bit of a wobble so I am going to fit a larger collar to the pivot points to stop this, apart from that, I am very pleased Regards Paul
  4. Pop 2 after a slight re-design of the bogies and mounting points. Draw gear and test under frames fitted.
  5. Hi Les, Had this to hand, hope it helps. If you look at the workday reports from www.apt-e.org you might also find what you are looking for... Regards Paul
  6. A little more work on PoP 2. New version of Pilot lab 8 under construction. This one has very lightly visible windows 0.02mm and smooth sides. Paul.
  7. Hi Paul, Yes , its about 70% done. Will get back to that next week for you with a bit of luck. Still got lots to do, 0 gauge bases are sorted. Paul
  8. Hi Paul, I need to get on with this for you.
  9. Dont know if I have posted these before, but here are some commissioned models and parts I have created. PoP 1 is G scale and it tilts. Just in the process of making another one to run on a customers garden railway...... APT-E bogies are 0 scale.......
  10. Hi All, A good friend of mine has just sent me some photos of her HSFV1 on her railway. Lovely work Mel.
  11. Hi All, Hope everyone is well. I have been working on a few projects, hence have not posted in a while. I was not going to post about this until its 100% but thought you would like to see progress on PoP 2 00 gauge. Still a number of things to change and finish designing, but I would say its around 90% complete. Paint job is just my quick hack version. Still to do :- handrails on outer ends and underside parts not sure which version I will do for those yet and the draw gear.. Pilot Lab 8 is still the prototype version. The final version will come with far smoother and less pronounced window panel sides, I may also include two smooth panels in case you wish to use those instead. More on the new version of pilot version next week with luck......... Anyone wishing to express an interest, please email me at leadleykits@gmail.com (No commitment as not fixed the price yet but I think it would be around the £105 - £120 mark). Its a "BIG" model................................. Regards Paul
  12. Hi, yes I am planning on doing Lev 1. I have some drawings so can see what I can do. Regards Paul.

  16. Hello all and welcome to my new thread for Leadley Kits Models. My name is Paul Leadley and I setup and run the APT-E Conservation & Support Group which have been slowly restoring APT-E at Locomotion, Shildon since the year 2000. I have started designing and 3D printing my own PLA+ model kits, mostly of items that you cannot obtain from anywhere else. I specialise in APT (Advanced passenger train) and RTC items. I also offer a bespoke design and printing service, if you need an item and can supply drawings or a collection of photos I can see what I can do for you. Mr Tilt (Kit Spackman) of APT-E and RMweb fame also has input into many of my model designs so they should be pretty close to the real thing. All items are in kit form only. 18. Hi all, I started this thread ages ago with my first account linked to an email address that does not exist now. So I think I am going to make a new thread all for Leadleykits. I will post the new link here when done. Hope everyone moves over to keep an eye on what kits are coming. Regards Paul.
  19. Hi All, Stupid question, but does anyone know how to charge the name of a thread, as I want to change this to LeadleyKits instead of the POP train construction. I feel like I have brain freeze...... Thanks Paul
