  1. Another base prototype in build, with Tilt. Still lots to change. These are low res test prints, so are pretty rough for now. Top photo is pilot proto 1 with a rough print and paint job. Regards Paul
  2. Would love to see the photos Paul. Mr Tilt may have something to say about these. I am not sure what the goal was with the LC1s sadly.
  3. Hi Neal, Still got Lab 4 to finish in N gauge. Its nearly done. Paul.
  4. Hi All, Just a quick question. Who would be interested in the 00 model of PoP 2. (Just an expression of interest) as its early days yet. Lab 8 Pilot is making good progress, but still lots to do. Hope everyone is ok. Regards Paul
  5. A bit if progress on prototype 1. Things to change. Window size. Length of coach, needs 5mm adding. Vents to indent. Doors, step and slider detail to add. Print windows panel face down to make totally smooth. More to come..... Paul.
  6. First prototype of an APT-P coach Lab 8 pilot is under construction. Got a few things to change. Painted part was a test section to get the shape right. First time two parts mated up for test fit. The upper window section is going to be printed face down, so will be very smooth. Happy so far........ Paul.
  7. A brand new Hornby style APT-P BT11 stands under the P train development unit after completing its first set of tests.
  8. Hi Mike, The diameter is the same but the new Hornby wheels are not as deep. Once connected to coaches at both ends, you cannot tell. Cannot find any wheels to match the old, I have tried. All very much, work in progress. Regards Paul.
  9. Hi Paul, This bogie is for the extra coaches for the original model. PoP 2 will have new one part bogies and far more detail. I may do a full one to replace the original two part one, this is just a tech prototype. Removing the old half is always an option, and it may end up that way. Thanks for pointing this out. I should have said what the idea was. Regards Paul.
  10. Shape is correct now and mounting bracket is fully supported. Just need to add the bearings, springs now, and Tilt generator. Damper to add also. With these the new original Hornby BT11 is done. Pretty pleased with it. Regards Paul.
  11. Getting close now.... The gap above where the springs go needs moving a little to the left and a supporting bracket is needed to fit between the axel holder and the beam with the air springs on. If its fitted at axel height you won't see it. Ride height needs to be .5mm
  12. Well it fits ok.... Need to correct some side details as its a little too thin. The gap over the wheels is a little to wide, and the air springs are to small. Nothing major. Starting to look the part.
  13. A bit of progress today..... No springs and bearings yet, and a number of corrections on the frame. Please remember this is a tech prototype and is a copy of the Hornby APT-P BT 11. Regards Paul. I am also doing a higher detail version for PoP 2.
  14. Tech prototype with you get the idea sides. Next to add the air springs and mounting point........ more to come.
  15. Hi all, Hope everyone is well. Been working on the next model. Need to design and build a new connector for the bogies. Got it cracked. Working on the side detail panels now..... My design connects to something from 1980..... Regards Paul.
  16. Lol , that's for you to say Mr Tilt. My model sprays oil out of the sides, its already destroyed ladies stocking and mens designer trousers stood on the test track platforms.

Anyone wishing to order please contact me at leadleykits@gmail.com New models off the drawing board, PoP 2 00 and N. Lab 4 Hastings n gauge. Oh yes, new coaches for the original Hornby APT-P set. Regards Paul.
  18. Hi all, I am calling this finished. Lab 4 stands with PoP1 on the Leadkits test track awaiting its next use. Stay safe. Regards Paul.
