  1. Draw an acceptable result. Shame we couldn't hold on for a few more minutes. But 4 points and 3 goals in two games since the obnoxious one was sent packing is still a significant up turn in form.
  2. No. Had no choice to let him go. Poor results, obnoxious man. Once you lose the players and physically attack the chairman (allegedly) you are gone!
  3. Right now I do not care about England manager's job. Cardiff City 0 Derby County 2 Two goals in a game. More shots on target than in any other game this season, playing the system that Pearson refused to play despite it serving us well for several seasons. A system that suited the current squad. Both goals scored by players who were low on confidence and form. Co-incidence? Not a chance. The final act should be for the chairman to sign that P45 for an arrogant, obnoxious, clueless individual who had derailed our club by ignoring what was staring him in the face. Taxi for Nigel Pearson. Do not darken our doors ever again. I was right about you all along. A large glass of scotch raised in celebration tonight. Now #### off
  4. This particular supporter is delighted. Did not want him in May, been wanting him gone since then. I am hoping the players can prove a point with a resounding win tonight to hasten the writing of his P45. I will volunteer to drive him away from the ground to anywhere he would like to go. There was other issues with Clement's sacking. Hopefully we will get it right next time.
  5. Don't know what has happened to leopard
  6. I understand your point, but think you have missed the point I was making. The number of unsold Christmas sets two years ago made me question the reissue of more or less the same set.
  7. I question these Christmas train sets. Two years ago the set first appeared for £75. I purchased one, using my club discount from an out of town retail outlet. I set it up as an under Christmas tree decoration. For the following 12 months the set was then listed as sold out on the website, but many local retailers had significant stock and were dumping them in the sale for £40-£50. The set has now been rebranded. It has the same loco, truck and van but has less track (a circle instead of starter oval). It now retails around the £50 mark. I am surprised it appears to have sold so well. I would have thought, considering how its predecessor spent most of its time as a sale item, that most people who wanted one would already have the previous set.
  8. You know. There is nothing wrong with Derby County Old Boys Fc aka Burton Albion
  9. The top five sellers posts have been happening for sometime through the social media outlets. It regularly appears via Facebook and Twitter. I cannot remember if I have received it via email before as it usually crops up via my alerts anyway.
  10. This layout is on hold at present Jerry whilst I work on other projects. Check out Skaleby West which is being prepared for another show outing in November. Skaleby East is the other ongoing project at present.
  11. Not true. Manager playing a system that does not suit the players!
  12. No. Right now it would be blamed on Nigel Pearson!
  13. Except on this occasion I well and truely flamingoed up!

  15. No, tin is too technical. It will be paper cups!
  16. May remind you of that the next time you need to use the telephone to desperately call someone for help!
  17. Progress has stalled on Skaleby East and, as a result, it will not be ready to attend the Weston on Trent show this year. My 2016 task has been a complete failure. Development of the layout is now on hold until after the show. Skaleby West will be making another return outing instead.
  18. The school summer holiday did not see quite as much modelling progress I had hoped. Things have stalled in the progress of my other layouts, meaning that they won't be ready for this year's Weston on Trent show. As a result Skaleby West will be heading back to its home show for another year. Over the next few weeks I will be aiming to undertake the various repairs needed. I will also aim to further develop the extended scenic section that was displayed part finished last year.
  19. Seems like Alexander Graham Bell has a lot to answer for.
  20. Football has lost one of its great unsung heroes today. After 60 years as a reserve player, kit man, physio and many other behind the scenes roles at Derby County, Gordon Gurhrie has passed away today. This man would have bled black and white. Derby County is a poorer club tonight. RIP Gordy!
  21. Yes this is the one I have seen and considered for my railway.
  22. Yes it is indeed a Postman Pat character - namely Ajay Baines who is the engine driver in the series. Normally found at the controls of another green steam locomotive, the Greendale Rocket, or in the cab of the more modern Pencaster Flyer. He was added to the cab by my four year old daughter who has quite a collection of such figures. I must admit I did not mind his presence in Otto's cab and there is every chance he could get another driving turn in the future. Although the picture does not show it - there was actually a second figure in the cab taken from her Brio train set. I think he must have been the rostered fireman for the day!
  23. Nah I would not bother she is out on a date with Papa Dom.
